After what feels like a very long couple of weeks, we’re so happy to say that Punch Stores will be reopening on Monday 13th July! ❤️

We’ve missed seeing every single one of you more than you know. Our customers are like family to us, and the market just hasn’t been the same without you.

We’d also like to reassure everyone that the market has been thoroughly treated, is fully clear, and is absolutely spotless. The safety and wellbeing of our customers has always been, and always will be, our highest priority.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your patience, support, kind messages and understanding while we’ve been closed. It has meant the world to us.

We can’t wait to welcome you back on Monday with a smile and get back to doing what we love most.

To all of our amazing customers ❤️

We just want to thank you all for your patience, support, and kind messages over the last few days — it truly means so much to us.

We want to reassure everyone that we are continuing our daily cleaning routines with extra enhanced hygiene measures above and beyond our usual high standards. We would also like to make clear that nothing whatsoever has been found on our stall.

We are continuing to work closely with the market management team and Environmental Health while we await a reopening date, and we cannot wait to welcome you all back.

We’ve seen a lot of negative comments over the last few days, and while we completely understand people’s concerns, we’d just like to put things into perspective.

Pests are unfortunately something that can affect businesses anywhere – not just the Moor Market, but across Sheffield and the UK. The important thing is that Sheffield City Council acted immediately, and together with the market traders have been working tirelessly to make sure the issue is dealt with quickly, thoroughly and properly.

Because this has received so much publicity, it’s easy to think the situation is far worse than it actually is. Please remember that one stall does not represent the 60+ hardworking traders who take enormous pride in keeping their businesses clean, safe and to the highest standards every single day.

Every trader has been affected by this closure through no fault of their own, but everyone has pulled together to get the market ready to reopen as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support not only Fruit Stop but all of the independent businesses at the Moor Market. Your kind words, patience and support mean more than you know, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back very soon. ❤️

We are making good progress towards reopening at the Moor Market.

We know how much people love and value the market and want to come back to support traders as soon as possible.

Markets teams, traders and specialist teams have been working across the building to:
• Deep clean and treat areas
• Monitor across the site

Where issues were identified clear improvements have been made and we are seeing good progress every day.

We will only reopen when we are sure everything meets full health and safety standards.

The Moor Market will remain closed this weekend. We will let customers know as soon as the market is ready to open again.

Traders and the markets team can’t wait to welcome everyone back soon.

Having received an update from the Markets Management we have been advised that the market will now not reopen until at the earliest Monday 6th July.
Please understand that this is solely for the safety of our valued customers.
I can 💯% guarantee that we have had no issues whatsoever on our stall or in our storage area.
We have received numerous visits from the Environmental Health and have and have received 💯 % feedback for high standards.
We look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday.
We completely understand everyone’s concerns, but please rest assured this was an isolated incident.
Please rest assured that you are our main priority.

Just to keep all our valued customers informed.
We have had a meeting with the market management team and environmental health who have praised the effort of all traders in cooperating with the deep clean of the market.
For ourselves we have always maintained a high standard of cleanliness and will continue to do so.
We have been in all weekend to enhance this even more.
We haven’t had or have we ever had any issues with pests.
Going forward when we are allowed to reopen we will continue to serve our customers in the best possible way.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back. Date to follow.

Sorry to inform all our loyal customers that through NO FAULT of our own we have been forced to close so that the council can do a thorough deep clean of the Market.
You will by now have seen online that this step as been taken by the council.
I would like to assure our customers that our stall was not in any way affected by this issue.
We look forward to seeing you all again when the market reopens .
