Little update for tonight ✌️Sadly Sunny has had to head back to London urgently today, huge thanks to him for hosting the wine tasting last night 🙏 Kindly he’s done this quick video about the quartet of wines available today by the glass, which showcase low intervention methods or natural ferments, we also have copies of his book for you to check and tasting notes of the selection to share. 🍾

Two Sheffield women-owned businesses, one incredible beer 🍻✨

We’ve got to take a second to talk about Angelina from Jasmine’s Jamaican Rum Cake and the absolute impressive hustle behind this beer release. When it came to bringing her signature Jamaican rum cake recipe to life as a stout, on a larger and longer term scale, she didn’t take any shortcuts. We were beyond wowed watching her dedication as she went out, sourced, and set up an entirely new brewery supplier to bring this beer idea to fruition. That is the kind of determination that makes the food and drink industry so special. Bravo to her!

As a woman-owned business ourselves, nothing brings us more joy than getting to support and showcase another woman-owned brand pushing boundaries and making moves. Especially this 13th birthday celebration weekend of ours.

The stout is rich, decadent, and packed with all the spiced, chocolate, and rum boozy goodness of a traditional Jamaican rum cake.

Now on the shelves at Hop Hideout. Come grab a can, then join us in raising a glass, and say cheers to this brilliant woman-owned local business 🍰🍫

🎈 Low Intervention Wines & Wild Beers 🍾

We’ve just added another 13th birthday event to our diary for next week. Fri 28th Aug, 6-7pm. Join us in store for this free session with wine author Sunny Hodge.
He’s picked a personal selection of low intervention wines, which we’ll have by the glass, plus a couple of ‘wild beers’ on tap and in bottle. Buy what you’d like, ask questions, all in a relaxed and welcoming space. Sunny will be here to chat natural ferments in wine and beer, relating to flavour and with his science hat on too. We’ve also saved this special keg of Abbeydale Brewery’s Funk Dungeon Pinot Noir barrel aged heritage saison for pouring on the day 😍

Fresh Neepsend Brew Co in the fridge including a heritage 1850 porter recipe. It’s the last few weeks of the free Star Seekers Trail, a brand-new city-wide trail experience based on our solar system spanning Sheffield city centre. Pick up a booklet from our neighbours Chocolate Bar. Once all three trails are completed, players receive a Star Seeker certificate and are entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £150 in vouchers to spend across Sheffield city centre. 💫
