Some things are just extra special because of the story behind them. 🥹🐝🍯

Sally Hinchliffe you've been there from the very beginning of Rawé, you were even part of my very first little gym focus group, tasting the honey before Rawé was really Rawé.

She makes the most beautiful handmade stitched cards, and she surprised me with this one made especially for Rawé. The little bees, the acacia flower, the honeycomb… and even my jar! 🥹 The amount of thought and work that has gone into it is just beautiful.

From tasting honey at the very start to making me this now… I absolutely love it. Thank you Sally ❤️

From sharing samples and talking all things raw honey to meeting so many lovely customers, these market days are a reminder of why I started Rawé in the first place.

Well, technically it arrived last week, but I've been waiting for the right moment to share it.

Rawé has officially been awarded a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating.

As a small business owner, this one means a lot. Behind every jar is a lot of hard work, learning, paperwork, cleaning schedules, HACCP plans, ingredient traceability, and making sure everything is done properly.

Rawé started with a simple idea: create beautiful, nutrient-dense products using exceptional ingredients. To now have that recognised with a 5-star rating feels incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to everyone who's supported me so far. This is just the beginning. 🌿🍯

Why is raw Acacia honey more expensive?

It's one of the questions I'm asked most often.

The truth is, you're not just paying for honey—you're paying for how it's produced.

Raw Acacia honey can only be harvested during a very short bloom window each year. Once the flowers are gone, they're gone.

Our honey isn't heat treated, blended with honey from multiple sources, or processed to make production easier.

Every jar is a snapshot of a specific flower, a specific place, and a specific moment in time.

That's why raw, monofloral honey will always be different from mass-produced supermarket honey.

Not every business milestone is a big sale or a new stockist.

Sometimes it's just putting up a gazebo by yourself for the first time. 😂

Looking back, i'm really glad i did it. Sometimes the biggeat wins aren't the sales or the milestones, they're proving to yourself that you're capable of more than you think.

And what a Farmers Matket to do it at. Rothwell was brilliant, with such a great atmosphere lovely people stopping by the Rawé stall.

Anyone else building something and figuring it out as they go? 🍯💛

🍯 A little pinch-me moment...

When I saw the artwork for the next Real Markets event at Lotherton Hall, I had to do a double take... 👀

Just a month ago, I did my very first farmers market with Real Markets at Lotherton Hall. I remember being nervous, wondering if anyone would stop by the stall, and hoping people would love the honey as much as I do.

Fast forward a month, and Rawé has been featured on the front of the event poster. 🥹🍯

For a small business in its first 6 months, moments like this mean the world. What started with a fascination for raw acacia honey has grown into Artisan & Farmers Markets, stockists, amazing customers, and opportunities I never imagined when I first started.

A huge thank you to Real Markets for the feature and for supporting independent Yorkshire businesses. ❤️
