LAB TECHNICIAN VACANCY🥼 | We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our award-winning Fish Health (Water Quality) Laboratory team in Shetland.

Working alongside our Lab Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in monitoring water quality and identifying harmful plankton and jellyfish species, helping to support fish health, welfare and the sustainability of our farming operations.

SEAFOOD CELEBRATION | We were proud to sponsor this year’s Taste of Shetland Seafood Celebration, a fantastic day showcasing the very best of Shetland seafood 🐟

It’s been a fantastic week for Hannah and Lillee in our plankton lab! 🏆 🏆

Fresh from winning the Animal Health and Welfare Award at this year’s Aquaculture Awards, they’ve now been recognised with the Welfare Excellence Award at the 2026 M&S Select Farm Awards.

Their pioneering work in Scottish Sea Farms’ plankton and jellyfish monitoring laboratory in Lerwick is helping protect fish welfare through innovative environmental monitoring and early intervention.

A brilliant double achievement and a well-deserved recognition of their dedication to fish welfare. Congratulations, Hannah and Lillee! 👏
