I know I know, no one wants to be told this😬 - but let me assure you there is much joy to be found in cooking with vegetables, and if that in turn leads to better health surely we all want that. I grant you it’s not a quick fix, which of course is what we really all want
Come and join our Power of Vegetables workshop on Saturday 1st August as part of our Nourish Saturday day ticket. Even better come for the weekend!
Please share🙏

I know I know, no one wants to be told this - but let me assure you there is much joy to be found in cooking with vegetables
And I am going to share it with you at our Power of Vegetables workshop on Saturday 1st August as part of our Nourish Saturday day ticket. We also only have four tickets for the full weekend too, which I would say is an even better option
Please share🙏

A big shout out to our wonderful customers. We literally could not do this without you
Thank you for valuing food the way you do, making the effort to buy. From us, because we know it’s much easier to just go to one shop. Thank you for accepting the occasional mistake, vegetables that don’t look quite as shiny and uniform as Supermarket options, our frustrating website
We are in this together - a transformation of our food system, we need it

What to eat in June?
Strawberries of course - and other berries start appearing like cherries, raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants and gooseberries. Asparagus is a real highlight, and broad beans and peas, fennel if you are lucky and new potatoes.
Salad leaves, watercress and rocket, radishes and spring onions, chard and carrots and plenty more
It’s time for lighter meals and more salad. Happy Days

It’s a funny old time of year - certainly utterly beautiful, and the bird song round here has been breathtaking, but we are still in the Hungry Gap (that period of lack where stored Winter veg is finished and the glorious Summer veg is still a way off)
Not that we are short of things to do - the w**ds are endlessly enthusiastic. We were thinking about organising a w**d and wine evening. Would you come? w**d for an hour and then have a glass of wine? An early evening kind of thing
