🎶 Join us for a Folk Song Walk & Tea at Bere Marsh Farm, Dorset.

Walk the beautiful landscapes of Bere Marsh Farm with Dorchester folk singer Alastair Braidwood, enjoying traditional songs inspired by the land, nature, and Dorset’s rich heritage.

The guided walk takes in the Angela Hughes Nature Reserve, Ham Down, Nine Acre Field, Drove Pond and Mill Mead, with stunning views and plenty of stories and songs along the way.

And afterwards? Homemade savoury scones and cakes back at the farm

Come and see us this Saturday from 11am to 12noon for Art on the Farm.

This week, we'll be using natural objects found across the farm to create your own piece of art.

Take photos and share them, then leave your artwork to dissolve back into the landscape.

Everyone welcome - children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sturdy waterproof footwear essential. Please dress according to forecast weather conditions on the day.

Public parking in a specially designated and clearly signed field is available at Bere Marsh Farm.

Free event, donations welcome.

Sign up for our photography workshop: close work in nature with photographer Marilyn Jane Peddle on June 19 from 10am to 1pm at Bere Marsh Farm, Dorset.

Enjoy a talk from Marilyn about the art of close work in nature photography, followed by a walk and the opportunity to practise your close work photography skills.

Marilyn will lead everyone on a walk through the farm, stopping to discuss points of interest or challenges, and giving participants the opportunity to try out their improved skills.

Remember to bring your camera or phone.

The Buzz Café will be open for hot and cold drinks, snacks and sweet treats.

The cost is £15 per adult or £12 per CRT Friend or volunteer.

It's with Arty Genny from 10am to 1pm in the Threshing Barn.

Genny will share her passion for Chinese brush painting and demonstrate how she paints local landscapes through an Asian lens.

What a fantastic launch weekend for FLOW at Bere Marsh Farm as part of Dorset Art Weeks

The Threshing Barn has been beautifully transformed by visual artist Debbie Lee inspired by the River Stour and the surrounding landscape.

The exhibition continues until July 4, featuring paintings, monoprints, animation and stories gathered from the local community.

Visit us Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment.

Ready for our Friday Farm Walk from 2pm to 3pm?

This week we will be joined by Dorset Dogs. Anneke, Dorset Dogs Senior Project Officer, will be available to offer and advice and feedback for dog owners, promoting wildlife friendly and happy, healthy, stress free walks.

Looking for something fun to do in half term?

Come along to our pond dipping workshop on Wednesday, May 27 from 2pm to 5pm.

Cost is £5 per family, no need to book.

A fun, practical session led by estate manager Hannah and our volunteer team.

Using our pond dipping platform we will dip in the drove pond and identify the species there. Learn the names of what you find and how they contribute to the health of the water and the wider ecology of the farm.
