‼️Please please make sure your pigs have wallows!!‼️ It's important that they can protect themselves from the sun and cool down in this heat. Next week can be life threatening for the animals and we must say there are ways to minimise the risk!
🐽Outdoor pigs - make sure they have shade, shelter, cool water to drink and wallow to cool down and apply mud as sunscreen. Feed late at night and early morning avoid disturbing them during the heat and at no circumstances move or relocate them.
🐽Indoor pigs - less bedding than usual, clean cool drinking water, tip a bucket or two of water on the concrete floor and add a fan or two.. radio is always welcome too (although not relevant to heat) 😉

Piglets as far as we can see 🤭😅 third litter is here and this leaves one more litter to arrive before we are done till end of the summer.
Majority of this year's piglets have ended up being male 🤦‍♀️😆 so we have around 10 boars still available to reserve.
They be ready for their new paddocks in July
