If you have a youngster that would like to have a go at Young Handlers why not come and join UK Hereford Youth and Highland Cattle Young Breeders at the Three Counties Show tomorrow approximately 11am Ring 1

UPDATE!!!!!

THERE WILL BE A DEMO AND TALK THROUGH OF HOW TO SHOW AN ANIMAL.

THEN THE YOUNG HANDLERS!!

Would you like to have a go at young handlers this weekend, especially the Saturday, at the Three Counties Show?

As well as their own scheduled classes, UKHY have teamed up with Highland Cattle Young Breeders Club to offer you the opportunity to have a go at showing a Highland or a Hereford!

If you would like to handle one of the native animals then please let Emma or Annie Perkins from the Highlands know. If you want to have a go but need an animal then please shout!

We feel very passionately about offering you these chances so go grab them by the horns - so to speak! 😉

Mike and Sid have the cattle all settled in at the Royal Three Counties Show.

Nine on the team this year, so keeping our fingers crossed for tomorrow.

If you’re visiting the show, why not pop by the cattle lines and come see us

Between torrential rain and glorious sunshine, yet again Kenilworth Agricultural Show didn’t disappoint.

Our Hawkesbury heifers Penny and Clover did well on their first time out coming 4th & 5th in a very strong class of heifers born after August 2024

Chicago was 2nd in the Junior Bull Class
Caesar was 1st in the Senior Bull class and then went on to be Male Champion and Reserve Breed Champion

Caesar and Chicago then went on to win the pairs

The kids did us proud again, not only taking animals into their classes but going on to be 2nd - Mia and 3rd - Sid in Young Handlers. As well as helping thistle_fold_highlands in the Interbreed Pairs

Great to catch up with the showing gang and looking forward to Three Counties next week

With our first show of the season coming up next Saturday at Kenilworth Agricultural Show

Caesar and Chicago have had a bath and blow dry, now some walking practice

We headed up North for Mike to judge at Northumberland County Show.

He was presented with a fantastic turnout of Hereford’s, making his decision’s very difficult.
