We’re delighted to welcome Glou Glou to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail 🍷✨

Part of a fantastic family of independent venues that also includes Petit Glou and Iron & Rose, Glou Glou has quickly become a much-loved destination for people who appreciate great food, great drink, and great company.

Championing carefully selected wines, quality ingredients, and relaxed hospitality, the Glou family of venues brings people together around shared tables, good conversations, and memorable experiences.

They represent everything we love about the Shropshire food scene – independent businesses with personality, passion, and a commitment to creating vibrant places where communities can connect.

From a glass of natural wine to a special meal with friends, Glou Glou, Petit Glou, and Iron & Rose are helping to create the rich and diverse food culture that makes Shropshire such a special place to live and visit.

We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Havenhills Field & Kitchen to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail 🌿✨

Led by the marvellous Karen and Jonathan, Havenhills is one of those special places where food, nature, learning, wellbeing, and community come together beautifully.

Through their field and kitchen activities, they create opportunities for people to reconnect with food, the outdoors, traditional skills, and each other. Their work champions everything we believe a good food system can be – nourishing, inclusive, educational, and deeply rooted in place.

From growing and cooking to sharing knowledge and building community, Havenhills reminds us that food is about so much more than what we eat. It's about relationships, wellbeing, resilience, and creating spaces where people can thrive.

Karen and Jonathan have become much-loved champions of food, nature, and community in Shropshire, and we’re thrilled to have them as part of the Trail once again.

We can't wait to share more of their story through the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail and in our new Shropshire Good Food Magazine.

We’re delighted to welcome The Rare Dairy to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail 🧀🌿

The Rare Dairy represents so much of what we love about the Shropshire food system – exceptional local produce, skilled craftsmanship, care for the land, animal welfare, and a commitment to quality over quantity.

The Rare Dairy helps keep traditional farming knowledge alive while producing produce with a real sense of place and provenance.

Their work reminds us that food is about far more than what ends up on our plates. It's about the farmers, the animals, the landscape, the skills, the stories, and the communities that make it possible.

From field to cheeseboard, The Rare Dairy embodies the values at the heart of the Shropshire Good Food Trail – celebrating local food, supporting rural businesses, championing regenerative and sustainable farming, and helping people connect with where their food comes from.

We’re thrilled to have them join us for 2026 and can't wait to share their story as part of the Trail.

The next Conversation at the Edge of Knowing will take place on Thursday 18th June at 1.30-3pm. This is our summer solstice gathering and I’m excited to be joined by Fran Price from the Real Farming Trust and Rachel Fleming from Animate Earth.

Listening to the Land with Fran Price and Rachel Fleming

Most of you will be familiar with the Listening to the Land programme, through sessions at the Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC), and the newsletter and podcast. Fran sits at the centre of a web of collaboration of organisations whose work touches on this approach to food and farming. Rachel hosts Animate Earth creating opportunities for exploring the paths and practices that lead us back to our sense of belonging, meaning and place within the natural world.

This will be a unique opportunity to be in conversation with Fran and Rachel as we dig into how they have worked together, how the listening to the land work has evolved and where its going. There will be a chance to find out more about courses such as on Subtle Energies of the Land which is enabling land workers and stewards to have a deep experiential dive into the art and science of working with the land in this way. If you have been involved in any way we would love to hear your experiences.

Join us for a discussion on ways we can collaborate to bring visibility to our sacred and reciprocal relationship with the Land.

From wholefoods to bookshops, the Shropshire Good Food Trail really does reach every corner of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin 🌿📚

We’re delighted to welcome both Honeysuckle Wholefoods and Booka Bookshop to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail.

Honeysuckle Wholefoods has long been championing wholesome, ethically sourced food, refill culture, and sustainable living, helping people make healthier choices while supporting a more resilient local food system.

And while Booka Bookshop might not be the first place you think of when you hear “food trail”, great food is about so much more than what’s on our plates. It’s about stories, community, learning, creativity, and connection—and Booka embodies all of these values.

Together, they represent what the Trail is all about: celebrating the diverse businesses, organisations, and people who help create vibrant, connected places where good food and community can flourish.

We’re thrilled to have them both on board and can’t wait to share more of their stories in the months ahead.

We’re delighted to welcome Goldstone Hall Hotel & Gardens back to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail 🌿

Known for their kitchen garden, award-winning dining, and passion for quality ingredients, they perfectly embody the connection between growing, cooking, and hospitality that sits at the heart of the Trail.

We’re so pleased to have them with us once again for another year of celebrating local food, farming, and community.

We’re so pleased to welcome Little Woodbatch to the 2026 Shropshire Good Food Trail 🌿

The beautiful home of Long Mynd Cider, also joining us, and our SGFP powerhouse Daphne. Little Woodbatch is a place rooted in community, landscape, local flavour, and bringing people together.

Surrounded by the Shropshire Hills, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate local food, drink, farming, and connection — and we’re delighted to have them as part of the Trail this year.

Daphne and co are hoping to host the official Trail opening on 18th July 🍎✨
