We are a lovely walk away from Blackbury Camp, famed for its English Heritage history and bluebells but quite honestly, I think the bluebells in our wood nearby are far better and totally unspoilt. A beautiful evening stroll this evening with the birds singing.

Despite the rain, Bramble and I have been enjoying some long local walks recently spotting the first signs of spring and enjoying a welcome coffee stop at Little Sands in Sidbury village to help us back up the hill home.

I liked this. Surrounded by the most beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty (National Landscapes), we always find something on our walks, whether it’s a bug hunt, foraging, tracking wildlife prints, bird spotting and listening to their songs, identifying trees, flowers, fungus and moss, there is always something to find and learn in all the different seasons.
