Given that my dad is an incredibly modest man, I’m sure many of you out there may not be aware he’s completed the London marathon a couple of times and always for a good cause too. Now as my dad made it look so easy I’ve decided to try and follow in his footsteps(sorry I couldn’t resist the pun) and will - finally - be running the London marathon on 3rd October after originally signing up to run it before the pandemic… around the time the photo I’ve attached was taken. This was when my dad decided to dust off his running shoes and ‘show me how it was done’ by running a 10 mile race without any training!… let’s just say neither of us finished those 10 miles feeling great but both had a great time!

I will be running the marthon for Cancer research in the hope that any money I can raise for them may have a small chance of giving someone else some extra time to spend an afternoon doing something silly like running a 10 mile race with their dad! I have attached a link to my just fundraising page and would appreciate any support anyone could give but if you are unable to give anything I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about the man behind the fruit and his son 😀
