Established in 2014, we travel around Yorkshire serving really yummy, properly homemade food alongside some seriously good coffee! Marcel is our lovingly self-restored 1955 van who makes a real statement wherever he goes. Follow us to keep up to date with where we will be next or check out the website for booking information. Currently CLOSED for maternity leave so not taking any new bookings for 2025.

Yarndale Day 1! What a joy of colour, yarn and coffee! Absolutely non stop from the moment we opened the hatch til when we closed. Our feet are sore but we are ready and raring for tomorrow. Thank you to everyone that visited!!

Love this beautiful installation of hoops hanging from the tree in front of us, casting these beautiful shadows on such a gorgeous sunny day!! ☀️

2 ✌️more days til YARNDALE! 2! That’s a small number!!
Knitty madness is descending on our town and we’re here for it!! This is a HUGE event for the wooly community, over the years we have met people who have travelled from the Philippines, New Zealand, America and even the South Pole!! (Granted he did not specifically travel from there especially for the event 😂 but it was really cool to meet someone from the South Pole! ⛄️)
We have our van parked outside the front (Littondale) entrance, selling proper barista coffee, brilliant teas, massive hot chocolates and seriously huge amounts of cake! There’s a lovely grassy area to sit and enjoy your goodies in the sun too ☀️

If you’re going this weekend make sure to stop by!

It’s been go go go since the end of our big 3 day fair. Straight back into the kitchen on Monday to bake for our next event, emptying and cleaning the vans, HOURS of washing up, reordering mountains of stock, and running around the wholesalers after this little one 🤪 I’ve finally got to the end of the to-do list!! My feet are sorrrreee but we have a few days off now to chill and celebrate my birthday on Sunday 🥳🎂

Back next week for Yarndale our local colourful creative festival of knitting - Saturday 26th and 27th 🙌 really looking forward to it 🧶 🐑 ✨

Another Arthur Swallow Fairs under our belt and it was a bloody belter! Best times as always sad when it’s over. We had sooooooo many lovely lovely customers, extremely complimentary about our coffee, cake and little cafe on wheels 🥹 🚐 💛 makes all the hard work worth it and always appreciate people going out of their way to come back and say “best coffee ever”!!
Great to catch up with all our weird and wonderful friends too and see all the incredible treasures everyone had found!! Thank you as always to the Arthur Swallow team for putting on such a beautiful and unique event for everyone.

This isn’t something I manage to do for everything I buy, yes I use supermarkets, yes sometimes evil Amazon Prime, but it is something I do consistently, every week. Yes it does sometimes take more time, more effort, but the quality is nearly almost always better, the experience better, the service, you guessed it - better. Rarely more expensive. Hope this inspires just one person to spend in their local community this weekend!!!

3 big agricultural shows done and dusted in 10 days! Gargrave - Malham - Kilnsey. Epic amount of coffees, hot chocolate, good old cups of tea. Hours of baking and mountains of cakes. These events never disappoint and we look forward to them all year round. Obviously I hardly took any photos so this is the best an come up with (including me and Anna turning up to work in the same top 👏😅)

I think we could have done a loyalty card as there was definitely some customers that could have filled them over the course of one or two shows!! As we trade next to lots of other local businesses its great to get to know them but also after 13 years its lovely that we have regulars at these events too - people who will make a beeline across the field as soon as they’re through the gate to get their caffeine fix, makes all the hard work worth it☀️

These are such lovely events, brimming with community spirit made to celebrate the extremely hardworking people who dedicate their lives to rearing beautiful livestock, but also everything countryside from the amazing crafts, jams and prize winning vegetables. Teams of people, vastly voluntarily put in many many hours to make these shows happen and its great to see them so well attended, crowds enjoying the best of the great outdoors, kids getting muddy and playing on hay bales and farmers having a well earned day off and letting their hair down! A real celebration of country life makes us proud to live where we do. So if you’ve never been to one before thats my sales pitch for next summer 😂

Really excited to see what today brings, we’ve got lots of homemade cake and top class coffee ready for you 👌

We’ve not doubled but tripled down on our country shows this summer, with 3 in just 10 days 💪💪💪 tomorrow we will be at Kilnsey Show, we haven’t done this show for over 10 years so will be exciting to see how we get on!!
