Established in 1983, Old Mill Brewery is a small independent family owned brewery, housed in an 18th century former corn mill and maltings at Snaith in East Yorkshire. It is equipped with a highly specified, modern brewing plant, the Old Mill Brewery has retraced the footsteps of the traditional regional brewer. Dedicated to producing a range of quality 'real ales', not only for the local market, but for a national audience too, the company with 150 years combined experience in brewing is recognized as one of the leading lights of the recent revival of the brewing art. Brewery News.... This week marks the arrival of Porter No.2 into our cellar, which is now available for you all to buy, it also marks the long awaited completion of our new test cellar, which means moving forward we will be able to offer in house cellar training for all of our estate pubs and their staff, and the addition of the cellar means brewery tours will be back on the agenda very soon, and they will be bigger and better than ever before!!!

Old Mill Brewery has worked its magic yet again, and next week Porter No.2 will be available for delivery 🍺🍻🍺
A deep ruby porter, made from a combination of chocolate, amber and brown malts and Maris Otter barley to give a thick, creamy feel, with hints if dark chocolate and coffee.

Porter No.2 will be available in your local Old Mill pub in the coming weeks, and we would love to hear your feedback!

And if your local pub is a free house, then point them in our direction and lets see if we can get them to stock it for you..... this is a limited availability product, and once its gone its gone, so don't miss out, order yours today for delivery next week!

The good news this week.... there is still a small amount of Union Ale left in our cellar 🍻 Our collaboration b**r has proved highly popular, and we are hearing great reviews from those who have been lucky enough to sample it, but as with all great things, its must come to an end, we have more new b**rs in the pipeline, but we thought we would give you a little heads up incase you haven't tried this one yet!!! We have teamed up with the amazing team at Great Newsome Brewery to create Union Ale 🍺
Union Ale will be available to purchase from Monday the 14th of September from both breweries.... and the pre sales look like we've created the brewing "Dream Team" 🍻

The Brewers Arms Snaith are pleased to welcome the new management team, Caz & Bob. This lovely couple have worked for Old Mill Brewery for a number of years, and recently decided to shake things up a bit and move from The Lord Nelson in Brigg to The Brewers Arms. 🥧🍺 It all started with a pork pie...

Nearly 20 years ago, just before Great Newsome brewed its very first b**r, Matthew realised they were missing one rather important ingredient: yeast.

So he rang Paul Simpson, then head brewer at Old Mill Brewery, and asked what he'd like in exchange for a bucket of the precious stuff.

Paul wanted a pork pie. Fortunately, Matthew's mum was a professional caterer, so a fresh pork pie was duly delivered.

Unfortunately, brew number one was a complete disaster! A few days later, Matthew was back at Old Mill with another pork pie, and thankfully the second brew went much better.

So, nearly 20 years on, it seemed only right to celebrate the rather unusual history between our two breweries by finally brewing something together.

We can't tell you exactly what we've been brewing just yet... but let's just say it's been a long time coming.

We are pleased to announce that Bob & Caz from The Lord Nelson in Brigg will be moving over to The Brewers Arms in Snaith in the coming weeks, they have worked alongside Old Mill Brewery for a number of years and are an extremely experienced management team. Because Snaith is a brand new stomping ground for them, they will be looking for fresh faces to join their team. They are looking for part time bar staff and a part time chef, if you are interested in either of these positions, and would like more information, please contact Caz on [email protected]
