The sun is going to shine so come and visit me at this month’s craft fair at Lytes Cary National Trust tomorrow and on Sunday. Lots of exciting new preserves, great additions for the BBQ and cheese truckles from Batch Farm as a gift set with Orchard Chutney ♥️

A real pleasure to watch these graceful swans in amongst the water lilies on my way home from pulling rhubarb in my father’s garden. Sadly one of the rhubarb crowns has completely died and the other isn’t doing well this year 😞♥️

Happy National cheese day and all cheese deserves a chutney. From a Spiced Blackberry which loves a soft or goats cheese to the Somerset cider apple and ale which makes a great addition to cheddar there is one to suit every taste ♥️

Something incredibly exciting arrived today. Beautiful English Chuckleberries which are a hybrid of redcurrants, gooseberries and jostaberries(blackcurrant x gooseberry).
The berries make for a deliciously tart jam and make for a real preserves hit for those of you with a less sweet tooth.
Come and try before you buy at the Lytes Cary craft fair next weekend on the 13th and 14th ♥️

Today we had a couple of hours away from home and spent it dodging the thunder and rain. From the beautiful West Bexington to the woods above Batcombe where my mum’s ashes are scattered. It was the first time that I had been back there since we took her there 21years ago but it was beautiful and we plan on making a day of it again soon. Happy resting place mum ♥️
