Kindly invited down to try some food at in South Cerney and honestly… what a gorgeous little spot 🥹

We tried:
🥪 Reuben toastie
🥓 Bacon, mushroom, halloumi & chilli jam roll
🍪 Honey toast cookie
🍋 Lemon drizzle cake

The Reuben was absolutely delicious, packed with flavour and we loved the spicy sauce. The bacon, mushroom, halloumi & chilli jam roll was delightful too, and I love that it’s available all day rather than being limited to breakfast only 👏

They use lots of local produce, have a fridge full of sandwiches and specials on offer, and they also stock bread if you fancy picking up a loaf of sourdough while you’re there. I also had a bottle of apple juice which was quite possibly the best apple juice I’ve ever had 🍎

But the STAR of the show… the honey toast cookie 🍪✨ Quite genuinely one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. Crunchy from the sourdough element but still soft and chewy, with melted chocolate in the middle 🤤 The waitress told us they blend buttered sourdough into the cookie mix which is just absolutely genius.

Such a cute little café and definitely one to add to your Cotswolds list 🤍

Another day, another beautiful Cotswold cafe. This week we visited in Charlbury. Great coffee, even better focaccia sandwiches and a gorgeous interior right in the heart of the town. Highly recommend for a weekend pit stop!

Tucked away in the heart of Cirencester, today we had the pleasure of experiencing something truly special at Secret Restaurant.

We were kindly invited to their press day, and as always, every last detail was thoughtfully curated, from the candlelit atmosphere to the bold Indonesian island-inspired flavours, it was beautiful.

The menu was a real journey through Indonesia, starting with rice crackers and coconut puffs, followed by highlights like Babi Guling with satay sauce, Gohu Ikan (salmon with kaffir lime, basil, peanut praline & coconut milk), and Ayam Betutu with jasmine rice and sambal. To finish, a nostalgic sweet treat of Terang Bulan pancake with chocolate and roasted nuts.

The vegetarian menu was just as considered, with Gado Gado, tofu “ikan” with coconut and lime, tempeh betutu, and the same indulgent pancake dessert to close.

We’ve always been such fans of Josser, and this experience only reinforced why. Immersive, soulful dining that feels like stepping into another world.

A huge thank you to Amber & Ols for having us and for creating yet another unforgettable experience!

We revisited one of our all-time favourites, , and honestly… we didn’t think it could get any better, but WOW, it really has.

After a beautiful refurb, the space feels even more special, cosy, elevated, and still everything you want from a proper Cotswolds pub. Add in their brand new spring menu (which we were kindly invited to try), and it’s safe to say this place is firmly staying at the top of our list.

WHAT WE ATE:

Scotch egg, piccalilli
Monkfish scampi

The monkfish scampi was INCREDIBLE. Perfectly cooked and paired with quite possibly the best tartare sauce I’ve ever had 🤤

Cotswold lamb ragu, pappardelle, fresh truffle, parmesan

10oz Ribeye with fries & peppercorn sauce

The lamb pappardelle was basically crack… I’m not even joking 😂 so rich, comforting and completely addictive. And the ribeye? Cooked to perfection, with a deliciously peppery peppercorn sauce that tied it all together.

If you’re planning a Cotswolds trip (or you’re local), this is your sign to book a table. A proper pub done exceptionally well

We visited the brand new café at Far Peak today 🤍

We’ve been big fans of Roots + Seeds since their very first opening, so seeing them expand into this new space felt really exciting. It’s such a beautiful, relaxed setting and honestly perfect for a family lunch. The real highlight? A play area inside the café for little ones, Jax sat and played so happily and absolutely loved it (check out my reel to see more of this!)

Everything felt so thoughtfully done, from the atmosphere to the food, and it’s definitely somewhere we’ll be coming back to again and again.

What we ate:
– Famous Roots + Seeds Croque Monsieur 🧀
– Far Peak Double Smash Burger, burger cheese, burger sauce, shredded baby gem, cucumber, fries 🍔

A dreamy spot for good food and keeping little ones entertained 🙌
