On Monday, we hosted another farm visit π§ welcoming farmers from far & wide - Isle of Wight, Kent and beyond πΊπ
π¨βπΎπ©βπΎ We have a number of visits coming up too, including Schools, Beavers, Young Farmers & other farming groups.
There's lots of interest in visiting the farm, and we're always happy to accommodate people where possible.
We are a working family farm π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦
It isn't shiny, perfect or particularly tidy (yet!) There are repairs to do, concrete is much needed and the jobs are never ending!! We don't have impressive buildings, machinery or other, just a willingness to look into the future and adapt ππΏ
Over recent years, Rich has taken the bold step of changing how the farm is managed; increasing livestock numbers, introducing new breeds of cattle and sheep, moving away from a single monoculture system, outwintering, and working more closely with nature & wildlife.
We're comfortable to share the journey with visitors, it's still work in progress and we're happy to show both the challenges and opportunities that come with it. Learning from each other is a valuable tool πΏπππ³
We'll always do our best to accommodate requests where we can.
