Good evening South Tyneside 👋❤️

Friday night usually means one thing… takeaway? 👀

This is one we’ve actually made ourselves and it was absolutely delicious — crispy prawns, colourful fresh veg and pineapple tossed through a sticky homemade sweet & sour sauce. 😍

Good morning from City Boxes

We’re up and about early this morning and today’s fresh deliveries are already coming together.

And this one is a brilliant example of why we added extras to the shop…

Today’s customer started with one of our Small Fresh Boxes and then made it their own with:

🍠 Sweet potatoes
🌿 Fresh celery
🍅 Piccolo vine tomatoes
🥒 Courgette
🥚 12 fresh eggs

That’s what we love about the extras — you don’t need to change your box or order more than you need. Simply add the things your household will actually use. ❤️

Everything is freshly picked, carefully packed and delivered straight to your door.

And judging by the size of today’s broccoli… apparently small trees are now included too.

TONIGHT’S TEA — CHICKEN TARRAGON

Tonight’s From Box to Table dinner is a proper comforting one…

Creamy Chicken Tarragon with Fresh Veg

Tender chicken, fresh vegetables and a gorgeous creamy tarragon sauce — simple ingredients turned into a proper family tea. 😋

One of the things we love about doing From Box to Table is showing that a box of fresh fruit and veg doesn’t just have to be “veg on the side.”

With a few cupboard and fridge basics, you can turn it into completely different meals night after night — without spending a fortune or constantly wondering what to make for tea.

And tonight’s pudding?

We’ve got a homemade fruit crumble coming up next…

Well… it’s somehow half 12 and I’ve only just realised I haven’t said hello today 🙈😂

It’s been a busy morning at City Boxes getting today’s boxes packed and out — and just LOOK at some of this fresh produce

And I think the cauliflower deserves its own appreciation post 😂
