159 meals and 31 cake! 🍰
You guys blew me away this week with this week's orders 😍

We usually find a dip in meal orders when there is a week off but you didn't disappoint 💚

Meals this week included
🐔 Katsu chicken curry
🥓 Breakfast hash with tomato chutney roasted onions, beans, mushrooms and eggs
🥗 Fusion salad - Chickpea salad with tzatziki inspired greek soy, yogurt, onions, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes and vegan ‘cheeze’ with pasta
🍑Hickory chilli tofu served with a traybake of peaches, peppers and courgettes, with rice

And something sweet
🍐 Pear and raisin cake!

Happy bank holiday Monday 💚

In an attempt to do some "work from home" it seemed my laptop didn't want to be cooperative, so it looks like I've gone to the big screen to type up this week's menu 📺

Almost done with this week's type up, alongside thinking of what I'll be doing for this week's event! No resting up this Monday 👩🏻‍🍳

Are you prepared for Autumn? I'm looking forward to the stew season and getting cosy with some warm desserts! I'll be bringing in September with one last salad to remember the summer by 🥗

Time for tea? 🫖🍰🥪

We had a wonderful time preparing this mega afternoon tea for a fabulous 90th birthday party!

I got to meet with the birthday lady to liaise with her on what would be on her menu, and boy what a feast! She went with

🥪A variety of classic sandwiches
🥚Savoury items such homemade mini quiches, freshly baked sausage rolls, and retro vol au vents
🍓Handmade scones made by our fair Rosie, with all the trimmings!
🍰 A selection of sweet treats, including homemade toffee piece brownies, brulée tarts and more
🍏 A refreshing apple mint mocktail to toast the birthday lady with, with squash for another soft drink option
☕ Your classic tea, coffee, milks and sugars
👩🏻‍🍳And don't forget those with dietary requirements! Including preparing a gluten-free alternative for some of the guests!

We were so honoured to be a part of this celebration and to be able to provide the catering and staff for this, we can't wait to see what the future holds, and you know where we are if you need us for small to medium functions 👩🏻‍🍳💚

What an incredible day we had yesterday at our biggest staffed event since we opened 😍

This doesn't even show the amazing behind the scenes hard work that our volunteers put in and the years of work we've put in to get us to this point 💚

DELIVERIES/DROP OFF

Please give us and email, text or call just a rough time and day either way .

MONDAY -- FRIDAY 6pm onwards
SATURDAY & SUNDAY arranged times.
On Saturday and Sunday we will try our upmost to accommodate the time you'd like to drop off.

LOCATION:

COST:

The cost is £3 per 750ml bottle.

LABELLING:

Custom named labels are included in the £3.

Custom artwork: artwork can be printed as long as it fits on our label , depending on colour and ink required an additional fee could be added to the total order.

COLLECTION:

Once we have bottled and labelled your juice. We will let you know when it's ready for collection.

Just arrange a time with us to collect. times are the same as drop off. Weekday evening and arranged times Saturday and Sunday.

PAYMENT:

We accept bank transfer, payment by card or cash .
We can invoice you via email with bank details attached or payment on collection using the other 3 options.

APPLES:

Condition is key. Apples are best picked from the tree , windfall apples are good aswell but need to be checked. No rotten apples , no badly bruised apples , no apples with lots of insects in.
All this can affect taste significantly.
Small bruising is ok but we will check apples when sorting and discard unsuited apples into the food for animals pile.

Better the condition the better the taste.

CAN WE PRESS OTHER FRUIT:

Yes we can , we can press Pears to make apple and pear juice or just pear juice.
Grapes 🍇, to make apple and grape juice ect.
We could press oranges 🍊 aswell.

C***R:

we can press apples for c***r.
We can offer the option to supply a fermentation barrel, airlock and add yeast for £30 and £1 per litre pressed . Each barrel holds around 25l of juice. You'll have to take it home and let the fermentation process happen and in a few months you'll have yummy c***r.

THE PROCESS:

On arrival you'll unload your apples into one or many of our bale arm crates.
Fill out a form with your details.
We will then get to work.
We will sort , wash , mill your apples. Then load them into the press, your juice gets pumped into the bottling machine where we bottle the juice before it heads into the bath pasteuriser. Once pasteurised we let it cool naturally and then add your label on each bottle. Come and collect your juice.

SHELF LIFE:

1year from date of pasturising. Because we gently heat the juice to 72 degrees its kill all harmful bacteria in the juice giving it a 1 year lifespan unopened. Unopened bottles do not need to be stored in the fridge only opened bottles.
Once opened 3 to 5 days in the fridge.

HOW MANY APPLE DO I NEED:

It takes around 1.5kgs to make one bottle of juice.
We recommend one bale arm crate of apples for pressing but we can accommodate less.

APPLE DONATION:

unwanted apples can be dropped off to us as long as they are not rotten or badly bruised.

Ahh what a wonderful week off from doing meals...
That only means we have
🍽️ A buffet for 14 we sent out today
🙌🏻 An all hands on deck sort out of the stock cupboard all day today
🫖 Preparation for our first big external catering event for a mega afternoon tea for 50

Just a light week off with no meals to deliver! What an honour to have such a variety in this business 💚👩🏻‍🍳
