6 weeks to go.

And if I’m being completely honest, right now I just want to get it over with.

Marathon training has taken over my life. It feels like everything revolves around the next run — how far it is, when I can fit it in, how my legs feel, whether I’ve recovered enough, and the constant pressure of knowing there are miles that have to be done.

I still have a 22-mile run and a 20-mile run before I can even start the taper. And those distances honestly feel massive right now.

There’s the physical exhaustion, but it’s the mental side that I’m finding hardest. The pressure. The commitment. The feeling that you can’t just have a bad day or decide you don’t fancy running because there’s always another long run waiting for you.

I’ve given so much of myself to this. Time, energy, weekends, plans, sleep… pretty much everything.

And sometimes I feel guilty for saying that I’m struggling because I’m lucky to be able to do this. But both things can be true. I can be grateful and still find it bloody hard.

I’m proud of myself for getting this far, but I’m tired. Really tired.

So for the next six weeks, I’m trying not to think about the marathon itself. I’m just going to get through one run at a time.

22 miles.
20 miles.
Then taper.

And hopefully somewhere along the way, the excitement comes back.

Right now, I just want to make it to that start line… and then I want to make it to the finish line.

Six weeks. Just keep going. ❤️:

20 miles done. 🏃‍♂️🔥

There were moments when my legs wanted to stop, but I kept going. That’s what the long runs are really about — pushing through the tough moments, staying focused, and proving to yourself that you can do more than you thought possible.

20 miles in the bag. Proud of the effort, grateful for the strength, and ready for the recovery.

One step closer. 💪🏅

Training for a marathon is about so much more than running.

It’s about showing up when you don’t feel like it. Staying consistent when progress feels slow. Staying focused when life gets busy. And finding the strength to keep going when your legs, mind, and motivation are telling you to stop.

There are good days, bad days, long runs, tired legs, missed sessions, doubts, and moments when you wonder why you’re doing this in the first place.

But every run, every early morning, every difficult mile is building something bigger than fitness — it’s building discipline, resilience, and belief in yourself.

A marathon isn’t just 26.2 miles on race day. It’s every single mile you put in before it. 🏃‍♀️🔥

Stay consistent. Stay focused. Stay strong.

The finish line starts with the decision to keep going. ❤️

Amsterdam, I’m coming for you. 🇳🇱

Another day… another long run added to the training log. 🏃‍♀️

The 15 miles today weren’t my best performance, but with a few walks in between, I managed to get it done. Some days don’t go exactly as planned, but they still count — and they remind you that every little detail matters.

Today, I definitely got the fuelling wrong. I didn’t have time to prepare my homemade gels, and I could really feel the difference in my energy levels. But things aren’t always perfect, and that’s part of the process. We learn, we adapt, and we keep going.

Amsterdam, I’m coming for you!
