Thursdate with the hubby!

Nothing but great words. From staff to vibe to food! Everything exceptional!

This is their platter, staff recommended for first timers, priced at £55. Picture doesnt do justice as to how big the portions are. It says sharing for 2, it would feed 4. We couldn't finish it all, ended up putting some in bag to take home.

And I'm not exaggerating the portions, my husband CAN EAT! But even he gave up 🤣🤣

Highly recommended!

Sunday Roast Lamb at Thatch and Thistle The Thatch

It's my first ever Sunday Roast (I've lived overseas). It was good, personally, nothing special. It wasn't bad either. Will I try it again? No. Will I come back to Thatch and Thistle again? YES! Would love to try other food there and staff are amazing!

A little redirection. Went with the boys yesterday at Bretherton Sunflowers. What an absolutely breathtaking view. One for the books! 20/10 I'd love to go again!

Dessert at The Woollen Pig

Ordered all the cheesecakes, all 3 absolutely delicious! My favourite was the Reese's. I've been on the hunt for the best cheesecake slices around Southport for 2 months now, The Woollen Pig did not just took a slice, they took the cake! Pun intended 😁

A little back story though, husband ordered through Just Eats, we had these 3 slices of cheesecake, a marzepan and cookie muffin (I think it's called). We were about to have lunch so I didn't bother to check on orders, he just put the box in the fridge. Dessert time came, I was pretty excited, upon opening the box, there's no cheesecake... long story short, he called The Woollen Pig, they said it should be in the order, they even sent free drinks, but since it's nowhere to be found they'll just personally deliver the "new" cheesecakes in our house and they did. They're brilliant! Not sure where the free drinks and box of cake went though - here's hoping the Just Eats driver returned it to them, or whoever received it.

11/10 will definitely try other offers in their menu!

Husband thoroughly enjoyed the marzepan and 3 year old finished the cookie🤩

Random Date Night with my husband
Restaurant: The Firepit - West Street, Southport

Burger is nice, too saucy as per husband. We had mixed grill to share, menu says it includes black pudding but dont have it. The steak is too thin and bacon rash wayyy too salty, for the price - not worth it. Mash was good. Expected so much for the cheesecake, quite disappointed as it's more like a strawberry yogurt.

Staff are really nice though. 8/10

Today's breakfast at Bill Rimmer's Cafe and Tea Room

Got Farmer's Full English 👌

It was a full sunny Sunday morning, we got there in time where a table just been empty, otherwise, we would've ended up eating in the car lol

Bit of a drive from town, but was well worth it. Price and portion was super.

I was going to try their cakes but was too full (I gave my bacon rash and hash to my husband).

Restaurant: Lansdowne bistro ltd

Hands down the best restaurant I've visited around Southport (to date). Seafood platter was surprisingly delicious (I was not expecting much, considering I've been to Asian countries that specializes in seafood). This was a truly amazing experience. The Tomahawk steak and mushroom gravy was overly delicious we wanted to go back the next day! Service, staff, food, ambience 🫡 Absolutely recommended.

Price was just over £100 but that's because we also ordered Soup of the day, and chicken and chips for our picky 3 year old. But it was sooo worth it.

Tip: We pre-ordered seafood platter and tomahawk sharing 24 hours before our date of reservation. If it was just 2 people who does not eat like my husband eats (he can eat a lot and still look fit 🤣) I recommend to just order at least one of the two, we we're not able to finish our seafood platter, there's absolutely too much in it, all delicious, from mussels, to king crab and prawns to smoked salmon and oysters and more, by the time tomahawk was served we were so full, I ended up eating only 4 slices, my husband of course ate the rest of tomahawk 😅

Advance Anniversary Dinner 03.08.2023
Restaurant: The Feather Blade Steak House
I had 8oz Sirloin Steak, medium well with creamy mushroom and garlic gravy. Husband ordered 9oz Lamb Leg, 3 year old son had 4oz rump steak. For dessert, we had red velvet cheesecake with vanilla ice cream.

£64 total, it was well worth the price, steak was perfectly cooked, proper chippy, only downside was we waited an hour for the food to be served, they may just have a busy night. But food was tasty.

9/10 overall experience 👌

PS.
We ordered calamari (not in pictures), but they forgot to serve it as a starter and apologize, so to make up for it, they offered the calamari in house.
