Everybody at Bates Dairy has been saddened to hear of the passing of Roy Beetham, who passed away on Wednesday 6th May.
Roy worked at Bates Dairy for over 16 years from 2006, working on milk floats and vans, servicing in and around the Banks area. He was well thought of by his customers. Many expressed their gratitude to Roy, and shared stories upon his retirement in 2022.
Despite suffering from ill health, Roy would never let us down. Indeed, on several occasions we would have to convince him to go home as it was obvious he wasn’t well enough to do his round.
Our thoughts are with his family, who he always talked about so fondly.
