It was a pleasure to ring in 2026 with the most glorious meal, and a few Belgian tipples at 🇧🇪

We are so lucky to have such incredible independent restaurants & bars in Southsea, and HUIS is up there with the best of the best. Everyone knows it’s the best pork belly around, right? But this feather blade of beef with a cauliflower bon bon and clotted cream & horseradish mash was giving it a run for its money.

As a baker I can never say no to a pud, and the Jamaican cake, banana & rum waffle was *chefs kiss*

Phenomenal. No notes. If you don’t know…get to know. I’ll likely see you there as I work my way through the menu! 👋♥️

I’m all about making my meals easy, balanced, and budget-friendly…without wasting food. 🛒✨

These 3 frozen staples are in my freezer on repeat:
🍓 Frozen berries → protein yoghurt bowls, chia pudding or fruity bakes
🧄 Frozen garlic → a god send. No fuss, throw in the pot, THE BEST HACK I’ve ever found for quick meals
🍞 Frozen sourdough → no more stale loaves, always ready for toast or sandwiches

Buying frozen helps me:
✅ Reduce food waste
✅ Stick to my budget
✅ Always have something on hand for a speedy Moore-ish meal
