Happy new year everybody!

We are suspending operations, both veg bags and permaculture, for a minimum of about three months.

The project just isn’t working financially, so the aim is to save some money and find a new angle of attack so to speak.

Our mission to create a practical, guerilla food supply can be achieved by many means, and I can’t wait to announce the next form that this will take!

Hi all,

We have finished up for the year and will be winding down communication until January.

It’s been an exciting and eventful year, we’ve had to adapt to unforeseen challenges.

Over the holidays, Fyredrake Foods will be re-vamping it’s communication style and business direction.

On Saturday, we will be resuming our cleanup of the premesis.

We are especially looking for volunteers with big cars who can do tip runs!

So, first official volunteer day was a smashing success!

We made good progress with clearing out the space. We are looking for more helpers next Saturday, with a call-out for those who can do tip runs.

Meanwhile, I am looking for a few extra days work this December, so I can buy building materials. I labour for small building projects, removals and gardening, and various odd jobs where some muscle and persistence is needed. Just contact me on 07936707404

Hey all!

Work is going well in the unit, the framework for extra storage is being built and a patch of floor is being prepped for painting.

Work clearing the outdoor area is beginning on Saturday, weather permitting.

To fund the project, I do various labouring jobs from gardens to construction and removals. I’m aiming to fill as much of December as possible with jobs, so I’m just putting the word out! If you need a labourer who is physically fit, definitely shows up and doesn’t whinge if the job is harder than anticipated, give me a call on 07936707404!

For the next two weeks, starting this Friday, Fyredrake Foods is having a break from veg bags.

Although I was hoping to avoid this, with the large amount of work going on in the unit it doesn’t make sense to keep going at this time.

There will be some service before Christmas for you all to stock up on those essentials!

Hello everyone!

Work on the permaculture project has officially begun!

The beginning task is to get the unit ship-shape by building more storage and doing a few minor building jobs. This will mean we have an organised situation for tools and safety gear, and even our minds. Anyone who has worked on both tidy and disorganised building sites will know what I mean!

The best way to get involved is to come to any Friday at Soul Wellness Hub, or contact me directly.

In addition, I am filling my diary with physical work, like building, gardening, removals and so on. As well as providing a bit of money for the project I find this sort of work great for my fitness and building ability. Hello everyone,

So this post is to give everybody an idea of the why.

So we have an agriculture situation run more or less by the elite. Facebook is not the best place to give more detail on this (that is what Friday meet-ups are for), but as a principle rather than being ‘against’ things that are going on it’s more useful to be ‘ for’ something better.

Can we grow in a more abundant way than is being done currently? If us rebels can produce, then we needn’t worry about how the food system is controlled.

Of course, they vary somewhat week on week, but my policy is to stick to British and seasonal. The quality is a league above anything perishable and imported, and so is the value for money.

At this time of year, the staples are roots like carrots, parsnips, spuds, beetroot and swede, and brassicas like cabbage, kale, broccoli, and of course sprouts!

With this, you can make the most nourishing and heartwarming winter foods like stews and curries, or simply fry them up and have them with meat.
