We have been going strong for a great number of years, with our registered company 'Daisy Lea Poultry Farm Ltd' being established in 1961. Over the years, Tommy Topsoil has adapted and diversified to accommodate three recessions, economic climates and customer demands to keep our family business succ

essful. We continue to work hard to consistently give you the best quality products at the best possible price. This means that we may not always be the cheapest, but we aim to be the best! 🎉HAPPY 65th BIRTHDAY YEAR TO US!🎉
We feel this is quite an achievement for a small family company, so we thought it was an opportune moment to tell you a little bit about it..

It fills us with immense gratitude that this year we celebrate our 65th Year in business, of which Tommy Topsoil has been a huge part for many of those decades!

It was Charlie Denham Snr (aka our Dad/Grandad.. and in fact also recently ‘Great-Grandad’ too!😍) who founded the business at the very young age of 20!

Just imagine.. 🤔setting out all those years ago, forming a Limited company, and 65 years later, you are still as keen and committed to giving 💯% to that same company.

Charlie has employed a mere few hundred staff over those years.. we’ve lost count.. mostly from our local community. He has also worn many hats .. Director, employer, boss, shed (very big shed) builder, designer, labourer, shovel pusher, bagger, delivery driver, accounts manager, unofficial Tax collector!, buyer, salesman, poultry farmer, pig breeder, tree planter/grower/nurturer, drain unblocker.. the list goes on. You name it, he’s done it, and never begrudged doing any of those things, in fact he’s loved (almost) every minute.

He has lead purely by example, and provides our guidance, inspiration, and attitude to work that can only be learned from those you respect - and indeed we certainly do that!

Whilst Charlie remains involved, son Andy, daughter Cilla and Grandson Edward, along with daughter-in-law Dawn, and farm staff Conor and Simon, all contribute to keeping the wheels in motion.

Whilst challenges around us provide regular headaches 🤔🥴, we thoroughly enjoy keeping our customers supplied and happy with nutrients and goodness to in turn, keep your gardens happy, throughout Yorkshire and nationwide!

So just a couple of thank you’s..
“Thank you Dad/Grandad/Great-Grandad, quite simply, we think you are amazing!” Keep keeping us in check!
. and last but, by all means, not least, a huge, ginormous, solar system sized “Thank you” to all of you, our lovely customers - old and new.. we couldn’t do any of this without you, we are very very grateful to you all.❤️🙏❤️

2026 PRICE LIST
Dear Customers,
Our price list has now been printed and will be dropping through doors shortly.

At the time of going to press, we could not predict the scale of impact that the conflict in the Middle East would have across many areas of our supplies.

However, in the last couple of days, we have received an unprecedented number of suppliers who are implementing temporary price increases, on top of their annual price increases. Unfortunately we cannot absorb these.

We will therefore have to increase our prices in line with supplier adjustments where necessary.

In addition, due to volatile fuel prices, it is with regret that we are also considering a home delivery surcharge.

We will keep any increases to a minimum, and for the minimum amount of time necessary.

Customers will be advised of adjusted prices/surcharges when ordering.
