We’re crowdfunding to build a beautiful straw bale community space on our land: a natural, sustainable hub for forest school, Little Foragers Forest School, women’s circles and community events.

Right now, the weather limits what we can offer. This building will give us a warm, safe place to gather all year round, supporting children, families and women in our community.

🌱 A fresh start for 2026… 🌱

2025 was a tough one on the land. Leatherjackets wiped out most of the crops, and almost everything failed before it had a chance to grow. At first it felt like such a setback, but it turned out to be a huge teacher.

With the “achievements” gone, I suddenly had something I hadn’t had in a long time: time.

Time to rest. Time to breathe. Time to lift my head from the constant weeding and harvesting and actually look at the bigger vision again.

And when I finally looked up, I realised how much had been growing:

🌳 real trees giving real shade
🐸 a pond full of wildlife
🌿 new hedges taking root and thriving
🤝 a beautiful community forming in the people who came to stay, help out, and contribute

I also learned something important:
My value doesn’t disappear when things fail, when I don’t produce what I think I should, or when I simply need to rest. The land rests, and still holds its worth, so why shouldn’t I?

Now we step into 2026 with fresh energy.
Bed One is already planted with garlic: a symbolic little promise of new growth to come.
