Sherry trifles were requested… so naturally my amazing mum just turned her hand to it! 😍 she reckons it’s been 35 years since she last made them…

And honestly… would you just look at them! 🍒✨

From “can we do trifles?” to a full tray of beauties in no time at all. Between the homemade custard, sponge, jelly, fresh cream and all the little finishing touches, we think they’ve turned out absolutely fantastic.

We’re so excited to add these to our evening menu… 👀

Well… Mum’s coffee, toffee & butterscotcheeee cheesecake was clearly popular 😅 We’re down to one lonely slice left! 🍰

Thankfully the Black Forest gâteau is looking absolutely gorgeous and Julie’s pink strawberry Swiss roll might just be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen 💕🍓

It’s a quieter day today, but Tiff & Aaron are holding the fort, Josh & Oscar are busy getting the auditorium ready, and we’re looking forward to hosting our first big function this weekend! ✨

Last week was so quiet I genuinely booked a flight 12 hours before it departed and disappeared to Mallorca 😅☀️

I’ll be honest it was mainly because I was starting to get a little bit nervous since this is a hugeeee venture and being quiet isn’t really an option for us… but today reminded me why I love this place and my team so much ❤️

We catered for a booking of 50, everything ran smoothly, the team smashed it, and we’ve had a lovely positive day all round. 🥂

Thank you to everyone who popped in, booked with us, shared our posts or recommended us to a friend. It really does make a difference and it never goes unnoticed 🩷

Here’s hoping the rest of the week follows suit 🫶🏼😊✨

Busy Monday morning over here! 😮‍💨

We’ve been preparing a buffet for 50 people alongside all the usual Monday chaos… coffees flying out, cakes being stocked, deliveries arriving and me wondering where the morning disappeared to! 😂

I’M BACKKKK 😘🫶🏼

Sunday dinners are officially on the go! 🍽️ Choose from roast beef, roast chicken or our homemade cottage pie, plus the full menu is available too because apparently I like keeping the kitchen team busy 😅

The cake cabinet is looking very dangerous today… we’ve got plenty of goodies waiting for you, including Tiff’s lollipop cakes 🍭😍 and honestly, they are unreal.

My diet starts tomorrow… again. 😉😂

Good morning you lovely bunch 🩵

I was up early this morning for a gorgeous 8K run and honestly felt on top of the world 🌞🏃🏼‍♀️ Followed by a lovely breakfast, a butterfly landing on my balcony (which felt like the universe telling me to slow down for five minutes 🦋😂) and now I’m soaking up a little bit of sunshine.

Meanwhile, the dream team are at the shop, stocked up, prepped and ready to look after you all today 🫶🏼

Today’s cake cabinet is looking VERY dangerous… so if you’ve been trying to be sensible, maybe don’t look too closely 👀🍰

Well… at 5pm yesterday I decided it was time for a little adventure… 😅✈️

The shop has been really quiet this week, the team were already booked in for more hours than we needed and, by the time I’d realised, it was too late to change anything… so naturally I booked a last-minute flight to Palma 🇪🇸🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Fast forward to 5am this morning and I was off. Now I’m sat in the sunshine with a Tequila Sunrise, completely alone for once, feeling calm, peaceful and doing absolutely nothing 😌☀️🍹

After telling everyone I’d be in almost every day this week too… awkward 😅

Don’t worry though, I’ll be back on Sunday 😘

P.S. I’ll still be uploading a photo of tomorrow’s fresh cake cabinet because some things never change 🩵🍰

OK GUYS, SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT POST TODAY… MY PARENTS ARE LOOKING FOR SOME EXTRA HELP & I NEED YOUR HELP TO FIND THE RIGHT PERSON… ALL DETAILS ON HOW TO APPLY ARE BELOW 💚

🦙🌿 3 Hours a Day – 4 to 5 Days a Week 🌿🦙
We’re looking for someone local to lend a hand at Plough Paca Meadows.
⏰ Around 3 hours a day, 4–5 days a week. It would suit someone 25 - 65 years or maybe even beyond.
Hours are flexible but would usually fall somewhere between 10:30am and 4:30pm, so we’re ideally looking for somebody who lives nearby, can drive 🚗 (there’s no public transport), and can slot fairly easily into the routine.

The work is varied and includes things like:
🐐 Feeding and checking animals
🦙 Looking after alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens and ducks
💩 Poo picking paddocks (there’s no point pretending otherwise!)
🧹 Cleaning shelters and stables
🌾 Moving hay, straw and feed
🔨 General outdoor maintenance jobs
🌱 Helping keep everything looking lovely for visitors

No two days are quite the same. One minute you’ll be feeding animals, the next you’ll be trying to persuade a goat that the grass really isn’t greener on the other side of the fence! 😄

We’re not looking for lots of qualifications or experience. We are looking for someone who is:
✅ Reliable
✅ Practical
✅ Reasonably fit and active
✅ Happy working outdoors in all seasons ☀️🌦️❄️
✅ Comfortable getting a bit muddy from time to time 👢

This could suit someone who is semi-retired, self-employed, looking for a few extra hours, or simply enjoys being outdoors and around animals.
We’re a small family-run business, so we’re looking for someone who can get stuck in, work independently and enjoy a bit of fresh air and animal company along the way.
