Episode 7 - The .meats cheese & Marmite Sausage!
This flavour idea was sent in by a customer so they got a free pack, submit ideas & win sausage if we pick your idea!
Now we know cheese and marmite sausages exist already so we needed to come up with a VEX version. I did a two-tone sausage a couple of years back and thought it would be the perfect solution to make something unique and delicious.
Its essentially two sausage batters in one casing so a fair amount of work needed to figure out the recipe and seasoning calculated individually and together as well as thinking about consistency and flow rates.
I was super happy with how these came out, the looks are really striking but we also got the balance of the flavours absolutely spot on. Marmite rounded off with stout, cheese both shredded and cubed mixed in perfectly. Each bite a distinct and delicious experience.
