Join us on Tuesday 2nd June for a special charity evening hosted by The Riverbank Restaurant in support of Cardiac Risk In The Young - CRY ❤️

CRY is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of young sudden cardiac death and supporting affected families through vital screening, research and education.

The evening will begin at 6.30pm with canapés and cocktails, followed by an exquisite five-course tasting menu prepared by our talented student team. Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a prize raffle, helping to raise much-needed funds for this important cause.

Last night the Riverbank Restaurant hosted the Plumicorn Restaurant from the Tawny Hotel for their annual takeover event which is always a hightlight for the students and our guests.

Our students had the chance to work alongside Executive Head Chef and his team producing some amazing dishes.

Thankyou to all involved and to our guests for such a special evening.

This week students from the Hospitality & Catering department at Nscg Main had an amazing residential trip to Barcelona to see the Spanish way of life.

The students had a jam packed few days participating in a walking food & cultural tour tasting some amazing pintxos.

A visit to the winery to discover how Cava is made and stored in the 100 year old caves.

A cookery class at the Born To Cook cookery school producing classic dishes of Gazpacho, Seafood and Vegetarian Paella as well as Creme Catalana.

The students then got to visit the world renowned Bakery getting to see how they produce famous cakes for customers such as the F1, Barcelona FC and the Estrella brewery.

The final few days they got to go sightseeing on a catamaran and a hop on and off bus tour taking in all the sights on offer from the harbour to the Basílica de la Sagrada Família.
