The Good Life Meat Company Ltd The Good Life Meat Company is a genuine field-to-fork business selling produce from our own livestock. We also source and sell wild venison.

Our aim is to raise our animals in a high welfare, nature friendly system in order to produce really tasty food. We love great tasting food! Our aim is to produce high quality food, in a high animal welfare system. We keep rare and traditional breed sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens. Our diverse smallholding is farmed in what would probably be viewed as an 'old-fashioned', 'inefficient' way. But we

think this mixed type of small-scale farming is better for the animals, better for the environment and better for producing healthy, nutrient rich food.

Haggis. Are you in, or are you out?

Who doesn't love a rib eye. A slow roast shoulder of lamb is amazing. But every animal we kill has a whole load of other stuff, which we can choose to use or fill the bin.

We choose to use - but will you buy?

Offal is a challenge for me, I'll admit. But our haggis is pretty good, I reckon! Work in progress, but on our order form soon.

The stalking team didn't manage to come back with any venison - but that's what you get with wild food.

But don't panic...we'll still have mutton (this time from our unique castlemilk moorit sheep) and ham joints as well as some frozen pork and our usual charcuterie.

Hand of pork.

Salted for 5 days.

Smoked for 4 hours before wrapping and finishing until tender and moist.

Tastes amazing....smells amazing.

Someone forgot to tell Mr GLMC that there's only 2 of us for dinner 😂

We still have some green bits. The sheep don't like this rougher stuff, but the cattle will appreciate it.
