In Loving Memory of Graham Edwards, Founder of Graham Edwards Trailers Ltd

Graham was a man of determination, adventure, and generosity. At the age of 65, he completed the incredible journey to Everest Base Camp alongside his brother, Melvin Edwards, raising money for Diabetes UK - a cause close to both their hearts as they lived with diabetes themselves.

True to his character and his pride in the business he built, Graham took a Graham Edwards Trailers sticker with him on the trek, knowing he would find the perfect spot near Base Camp to put it. ❤️

Founder of Graham Edwards Trailers Ltd.

Graham was a proud member of the Pre-War Austin 7 Club and had a lifelong passion for Austin 7s. Together, Graham and Maureen enjoyed many adventures in their beloved Austin 7, travelling throughout Europe, visiting Orkney, island-hopping across the Hebrides, exploring the Yorkshire Dales, and, most of all, enjoying local drives around their home in Bolton.

His first Austin 7, purchased in the late 1990s, was affectionately named Maggie. Over the years, Graham built a small collection of Austin 7s, which he was immensely proud of and always delighted to share with others. ❤️

In loving memory of Graham Edwards, founder of Graham Edwards Trailers Ltd.

Graham joined the choir in the late 1980s and loved his Monday night rehearsals, singing carols in Kirkgate at Christmas, and the many friendships he made through music. He also enjoyed choir tours to Russia and Germany.

Music and community were a huge part of his life. He organised a concert in Pocklington to raise money for PSP, the disease that took his wife’s life, and more recently helped arrange a concert at Gunnerside in Swaledale, raising funds for the chapel where his father had been minister in the 1920s.

Graham passed away peacefully while listening to his choir.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. ❤️

What began in 1985 as a small fabrication business in Bolton grew into one of the UK’s leading trailer manufacturers.

In 1989, Graham hired Martin Garside, and together they developed the company’s first livestock trailer.

Joined by his son Matthew in 1991, the company continued to grow, moving to its current Full Sutton site in 1994.

Graham’s legacy lives on through the business he built, the people he inspired, and the generations who continue his work. ❤️

In loving memory of Graham Edwards, founder of Graham Edwards Trailers.

Graham established the company in 1985 alongside his son, Matthew Edwards, building a business founded on hard work, dedication, and family values.

His legacy will continue through the company he created and the many lives he touched.

Forever remembered, never forgotten. ❤️

“My dad, Graham Edwards has died yesterday. He was my best friend, my boss, my coworker, my mentor but most of all the best dad a person could ask for, the belief he had in myself was inspirational and pushed me and our company forward. He died peacefully in York Hospital listening to York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir, which he was a member for over 30 years.”
