Meet Harry 👋🍷
Harry joined The Wine Society earlier this year as one of our new Fine Wine Advisers, bringing a Chemistry degree, years of wine experience and a serious passion for helping members discover great bottles.

Before joining us, Harry managed one of Belgravia’s most prestigious wine merchants, so you could say he knows a thing or two about the finer things in life. 😉

Today, he’s sharing one of his favourites: Leeuwin Estate’s Art Series Chardonnay.

Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most iconic chardonnays, this is southern-hemisphere winemaking at its finest. Think flint, lime peel and apricot, wrapped up in a beautifully balanced, taut and saline style.

Drinking brilliantly now (a little time in the decanter will really let it shine), but equally rewarding if you can resist opening it for a few more years… 🥂

Make the most of the bank holiday with a taste of great-value Italian wines made for long lunches, lazy afternoons and evenings gathered around the table.

From crisp whites and vibrant reds to the simple joy of vino della casa, buyer Sarah Knowles MW shares the bottles she recommends most often.

But what exactly do we mean by vino della casa? Simply put, it’s “house wine” the easy-drinking bottle you’d happily pour for everyone around the table.

So, pour a glass, gather your favourite people and make the most of the final bank holiday of the summer. ✨

The Society’s Pioneers come in all shapes and sizes. Tim’s Society's Pioneer Pick comes from the small appellation of Gaillac.

Domaine Rotier is a small producer with big sustainability ambitions and producer Alain Rotier is obsessed with soil biodiversity!

This is exactly why we've named this wine a Society’s Pioneer. 🌿

Gaillac Blanc Sec Les Gravels, Domaine Rotier 2023 £12.95

“I LOVE ITALIAN WINE!” So says our wine buyer, Sarah Knowles MW.

“One of the best parts of my job is tasting my way around Italy, and believe me, there’s a LOT to taste!”

This summer, rather than trying to squeeze everything into one list, we’ve handpicked a selection of the wines Sarah finds herself recommending again and again.

From easy-drinking weekday favourites to those “feeling fancy” bottles, these are the wines that consistently deliver.

Check out the full offer on the website now and tell us which wines you’re most excited to try. 🍇
