Domaine Sérol Have long been one of our favourite producers in France, creating charismatic truly delicious wines in and around Roanne. The wines speak of the terroir consisting mainly of roaming slabs of granite, they’re wonderfully structured yet carry clean, pure fruit. Biodynamics throughout, that’s a winner!

For the first time, we have a bottling of Chenin Blanc from one of the highest plots in the family holdings. Bright, elegant and honeyed at the core… smacker.

THIS THURSDAY - RETURN OF little yellow. …

Chef Luka returns with a cracking menu of world class bar plates with feet firmly in the realm of our gastronomic god tier neighbours, France.

I can say with confidence this is proper top tucker, some of the best traditional French cookery seen in this land and done so in a breezy, fresh format.

Plenty of space so book in through our resdiary - don’t miss this one!!

AN ENGLISH WHOPPER🍷🙌 We love this from Sandridge Barton Wines - Devon Vineyard - Dart Valley Reserve has been on their roster for decades and it’s arguably the best value English white wine we’ve seen for years.

Madeline Angevine, Bacchus and a bit of Pinot action make up the blend, it’s bright and fresh (which isn’t hard in our climes), but packs a lovely amount of texture and weight to it that is truly rare. A solid effort, on the shelves in the fridge maybe on by the glass later who knows…

THIS WEEK AT CW ☀️🥂One week, two brilliant pop-ups from Brighton & Hove’s award-winning Wild Flor and local pintxos mastermind Claire Claire B @ 140 High Street .

On the bar, we’ve got a fresh Super Pale from ABYSS Brewing pouring on our craft line, alongsidethe legendary Munich Lager, which you’re all absolutely loving.

Our shelves are admittedly going to look much happier this week! That’s the joy of being an independent wine shop… The business model is simple - you keep us busy, and we get to keep filling the shelves with more bottles. We’ll also have a fresh wine list ready to browse, plus a delicious menu of cheese & charcuterie plates.

Join us in the sunshine on our outdoor tables or cool off inside with the air conditioning. Pop in for a glass or settle in for the whole thing.

ALL HAIL THE SUPERPALE - Can you believe we’ve been pouring the best beers around for a month? Which means it’s time for our ‘Awesome session hazy pale from world class independent brewery’ line is changing for the first time. For the next month or so it’ll be the wonderfully alluring SUPERPALE from Lewes legends ABYSS Brewing - come and wallow in its oat induced density (And it’s gluten free what a day). Alongside the permanent feature of frosty pints of in chilled glasses of course - We’re bowled over on the response so far so keep it up and keep enjoying frosty pints, amazing wines and fabulous cheeses and hams.

On Tuesday 28th July, award-winning Wild Flor returns to take over the menu at Chanctonbury Wines.

Expect 5 seasonal courses from Chef George, showcasing the seasonal, produce-led cooking Wild Flor has become known for.

£45pp, from 5:30pm, Tuesday 28th July. Includes a welcome glass of fizz 🥂
