It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the sad passing of John Harvey on the 1st of April

John was the co-founder or Harveybros Herefords and Harvey’s limousin along with brother George. Before starting his own herd John had a successful stockmans career working for Gaidrew Angus, Ashley Angus, Lochmere Angus in Texas, BC Herefords, Grahams Limousin, David Goldies Charolais just to name a few.
John has been a massive influence here guiding George at the start of buying stock, teaching Jamie and Beth how to show and prep cattle, but his main influence has been on Sophie, taking the time to talk things through from a young age and without this her career choice might of been very different.

John is going to be very missed, from hearing the same stories over again to talking about breeding and people he once worked with.

For anyone wanting to pay their respects his funeral will take place on Monday the 15th of April at 11:15am at Cardross Crematorium
