You probably don't know this about me, but apart from being a nutritionist, I also work in marketing. So I've probably spent the last 5 years educating myself on the subject as first, before working for other brands and business owners, I 'needed' to learn how to run my own marketing campaigns. Strategy, email marketing, social media, networking, events, workshops, website optimisation... I have spent hours and hours attending courses,. consulting specialists and implementing their advice and my own strategies. So much so that although I didn't see many clients, I was busy as hell - feeling the constant Mama guilt of not spending this time with my son and not bringing as much money as I was hoping for either.

Now, I am not writing this to say that marketing is wrong - it isn't, if used wisely! It can be a wonderful tool of bridging the two, as in my case, the person that seeks support to feel better with the person that can offer this support. But what I want to share here is that the more I work.in the field and the longer I use these social media platforms, the more adverse I am to 'posting'. Because behind every post, reel, story, carousel, recipe, freebie - are hours spent on my phone or laptop - and I don't think that these hours are best spent (for me). Do they actually make their way to those who need the advice, reassurance, guidance, meal ideas? Or do these posts just get swiped by when we mindlessly scroll between what the algorithm believes we should be watching and reading?

It's hard to tell. But what I can say is that since I followed this resistance to 'be present' on social media, I have taken less pictures, videos, and scrolled less (but still too much on some days) - and that's the new 'trend' I want to follow.

And to finish with a call to action (as you do in marketing), if you'd like my support - grab my number and call me, or book yourself a call with me, and let's simply talk about what you need and if and how, I can help you. Call me old-fashioned!

Sending you best wishes!

Who do you choose to be?

Wow, something in me feels very different right now - stronger, more grounded, more confident in my own abilities, fully accepting who I am and seeing more clearly who I am becoming each day.

I'm not what happened to me.

I'm what I choose to make out of these experiences, what lessons I choose to learn and embody, what people I let in and who I let go of.

I wish you to feel this empowerment, too. 🌹

Cooking for the family (including kids) seems to be a challenge?

My experience of being a mum of a 6-year old, and supporting other mums and their families shows a similar pattern time and time again - the more we enjoy the food we have on our plates, and make an effort to prepare it (ideally together!), the more our kids are open to trying new things.

Try these ideas next time:
🥄 Think of ingredients rather than specific meals
🥄 Offer a variety of ingredients that your kids (and each family member) can combine into their own meals
🥄 Involve them in the process - picking veggies from the supermarket together (look, touch, smell), peeling, grating, slicing, chopping, stirring, kneading... With no pressure or expectations and as much fun you are ready to have
🥄 Invite tasting without the pressure to eat - ask questions about colours, textures, flavours
🥄 But most importantly - let them see you enjoy the same ingredients!

Leave a ❤️ if you're keen to try!

Did you ever want something so much, or enough, to make an effort to go and get it? Did you get through the insecurities, the fear of the unknown? Did you gather your strength, trust and all your resources to turn that vision into reality?

What did it feel like in your body to harvest the fruit of all that work, all that effort, to follow the vision only you could see?

I hope you knew, or know, how to celebrate yourself 🌸

Haven't got the view? Don't worry. When it comes to nutrition and optimum digestion - it isn't about the view, but it's about MINDFUL EATING.

In simple terms - it's about doing one thing at a time - and doing it well! Looking at your plate, smelling the food (ok, maybe it's more than just one thing), chewing it well, enjoying each bite. Putting the cutlery down between bites. Taking note of when you're starting to feel full.

Simple or actually quite challenging? Let me know!

Some of you have asked me about the books that I use to create my nutrition & lifestyle protocols, so here's a snapshot of some of those that inspired me throughout the years and that inform my practice to this date.

10 years in my practice, and I see more and more clearly that applying the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine to modern alignments brings about transformational results - they don't happen overnight but when the body has a chance to return to a state of balance - you get to experience the magic for years to come.

How does it work in practice? Comment 'Spring' and I will send you a link to my free webinar on how to support yourself in Spring time - mostly by taking care of your Liver and Gallbladder organs and meridian systems - you will find out for yourself that this approach can be very practical!

Best wishes

Do you often skip breakfast because there just isn't enough time to make it?

Do you find it difficult to focus, feel tired and low and often crave sugar and/or coffee during the day, especially late afternoon?

You may not be surprised to hear that the two above may be linked. Skipping breakfast is like asking your car to run on empty - it may do it for a short period of time but will quickly inform you that it's not how it was designed to run.

So if you really struggle with time in the morning, follow these steps:

1️⃣ Try not to think about what's on your plate just yet but choose something that you can put together relatively quickly, e.g. scrambled eggs and sourdough toast.

2️⃣ Or do the prep the day before so you can quickly reheat your breakfast in the morning, e.g. nut loaf with avocado and boiled eggs.

3️⃣ Aim at eating breakfast within the first couple of hours of waking up - eating on the go is not ideal, but may occasionally work if really pressed for time. Heated porridge in a flask or porridge pancakes may work well.

4️⃣ Once you get the hang of it (and start experiencing the benefits, which will.most definitely boost your motivation), then you can start increasing your portfolio of breakfast ideas and balanced them well for steady energy and satiety until lunchtime.

If you'd like more ideas on what to put on your plate first thing in the morning (including batch-cooking friendly recipes), comment below and I will send you a link to my 'Energise Your Mornings' free Recipe Pack that includes 11 breakfast ideas. 🌈

Best wishes
Emilia
