Hello.

Yesterday was another hard day without our lovely person but I just wanted to share the wonderful news.

Isobel is having a baby.

A beautiful gift to lift our hearts. Andrew would be smiling from ear to ear. 💛He adored his children and grandchildren.

We have lots of stories to tell them about their amazing grandad.

While I’m feeling brave enough because over the past seven and a half months my life has felt so lonely without Andrew. It’s been and is the hardest grief I’ve had to encounter.
Together for 37 years. Four children, four partners and four grandchildren. Now I must carry on without my best friend.
ladies on my spoonful of sugar page messaged me to say how they’ve struggled and are struggling after losing their husbands/ partners. I took a few very deep breaths and decided to make a private page of gentle comfort for widowed ladies. A safe space.
I’m just sharing it in case you or you know anyone who might need this space .
Much love Andrea 💛

Nearly eight months since we lost our wonderful person.

After Andrew passed i remember the gazette wanting to do a piece about him but i refused because they wouldn’t have been able to write about the incredible person he really was.

He didn’t just set up stall and bring fantastic produce to customers.
Andrew was incredibly kind. He would never talk about the charities he gave to or giving someone his last fiver. Driving hundreds of miles for his kids if they needed him.
I remember when Elizabeth was in the RAF and she was being sent away early the next morning.
Andrew could see the look on my face. Get in the car were going to see her he said without flinching. It was an eight hour journey 400 odd mile round trip and he had to be up at three for work. It didn’t deter him. He did the same for our son Chris when he was going to Afghan.
He would do anything for his four children.
He played drums and loved all music ( most anyway) he played piano, when he could remember how to.
He would argue, trust me I know but he always tried to find a solution and was never cruel.
He was loyal.
Never spiteful.

He loved adventures and films. So many films . He could tell me who directed them and who did the music. So many of these things we both shared the love of.
He was my best friend and I his.
Our Sundays we danced in the kitchen together or spent it with our kids and grandchildren There’s nothing like family.
Anyway this is just a snippet of my darling.

My heart, our children and grandchildren’s hearts, ache for this wonderful man we love. One day I will write more but for now this is a little about the Great Andy Mac.

Big Edit. I forgot to say, not think, Andrews best and most missed quality was making people laugh. You didn’t always get to see this side at the market. But if you knew him away from work. He was silly, loved making his own jokes up,taking the mic out of me( I miss that so much). Don’t judge Andrew on what he may of let you see on the stall.
One of his favourite acts after one or six beers was jackass stunts on the kids toys.
One in a million.

I won’t say good luck to our lovely daughter today because I know she will be brilliant. Andrew was always proud and I can hear him saying you got this kid. 💛

The lovely lady who took Andrew’s baskets sent me a picture of them painted and ready for the show. I explained we had lost Andrew because we didn’t mention when she came to collect them a couple of weeks ago. I cried and smiled when I saw the picture. For so many reasons but I do know that he would be chuckling at his baskets being revamped to pink.
