🎶 Did you catch us on Moorlands Radio this morning?

Today we popped in to see lovely Sammie to chat all about our Pink Sisters & Misters Hoedown happening here at Shukers Farm Shop on Saturday 4th July.

🎗 The whole day is in aid of a charity incredibly close to our hearts — the Pink Sisters & Misters, a local cancer support group who have been a true light in a dark tunnel throughout our Deb’s cancer journey.

During Deb’s treatment, we spent many days talking about all the things she wanted to do once she was well again… and right at the top of her list was throwing a big party to celebrate her victory.July 4th is that party.

A day of live music, good food, laughter, and community.We can’t wait to welcome you all.

On Saturday 4th July, TheRepeaters will be performing at Shukers Farm Shop in Werrington, as part of the Pink Sisters & Misters Cancer Support Hoedown fund raising event. This promises to be a fantastic all-day event with lots going on and family friendly too. With country artists, fun fair, dog show, stalls, 'learn to line dance' and lots lots more.

TheRepeaters are scheduled to start around 4-4.30pm and will be performing for around 2 hours, so come along for a fun day out and help support this amazing charity too.

🚜 It’s that time of year again… and farmers everywhere are in a race against time 🕑

🚜Harvest season is here — the moment we start making the feed and bedding that will carry our animals through the winter.
And as always, the weather has other ideas. This year it feels like the dry spells are shorter than ever. It’s either scorching hot and the ground turns to concrete so the grass won’t grow… or it rains. And rains. And rains sideways for days on end. 🌧
But we spotted our chance — a tiny break in the weather — and we grabbed it.
What you can see in the picture is haylage. It’s wetter than hay, packed with minerals and vitamins, and it’s what we choose to feed our cattle through the colder months.

We’ve still got plenty more to do, but every load we bring in is one step closer to the security we need for winter ❄️

So when you’re out and about and see tractors flying around the fields, that’s what’s happening.
Farmers everywhere are racing the clouds, trying to get ready for the months ahead.

As the old saying goes… make hay when the sun shines 🌞
