What a fantastic day at Leek Show!

Our girls have done us proud once again, taking home the top honours and some of the biggest prizes of the day. 🥇🏆

They’ve worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks, and it’s great to see that effort rewarded in the show ring. A huge thank you to everyone involved in our showing team for their dedication and hard work behind the scenes.

We’re incredibly proud to exhibit these outstanding cows. They deserve every bit of recognition and the chance to shine in the limelight. Now it’s time for a well-earned rest 🐄

A very successful (and very hot 🥵☀️) day at Newport Show! 🐄

Our first show of the year and the girls absolutely smashed it! 💚

🥇 WHINCHAT SIDEKICK INKA IDEAL won her class and went on to be Reserve Holstein Champion 🐄🏆

🥈 WHINCHAT KINGDOC EXPRESS came 2nd in the Senior Cow Class 🐄

All the hard work over the last few weeks definitely paid off. After a quick dip in the pool to cool off, it’s business as usual home to get the girls milked! 🥵💦🐄

This week marks 1 year on the farm 🐄🌱

And what a year it’s been! Plenty of highs, plenty of lows, and more challenges thrown at us than we could’ve imagined — but we’re still here, still fighting on, and still loving the life we’re building every day.

From welcoming new life into the herd, milking some cracking cows, and raising our two girls in the best environment we could wish for… it’s all been worth it ❤️

It’s a busy time of year again — eyes glued to the weather forecast waiting for a chance to get more silage in the clamp, show season just around the corner 🐄… and to top it all off, our own family “herd” is growing too, with a new little member arriving this summer ☀️👶

This first year has taught us a lot. We’ve made mistakes along the way, but that’s farming isn’t it? You learn, you adapt, and you go again.

With crippling milk prices, last summer’s drought causing silage shortages through winter, and rising costs across the board, there have definitely been days where it all felt pretty impossible. But somehow, through it all, we’ve survived… and we’re still standing.

So here’s to surviving year 1, and heading into year 2 — hopefully with kinder milk prices, kinder weather, and at least one week where nothing breaks 🤣🤞🏼🐄
