š„§ A wee pie post š„§
Iāve always believed that a proper homemade pie is worth taking the time to make properly
The fillings are made from scratch. They are made the long way, with ingredients cooked down properly, meat slow cooked until tender and gravy made from all those flavours coming together in the pan
Even the pastry is made from scratch with flour, butter, and a bit of elbow grease. Itās definitely the harder way of doing it, but I genuinely think you can taste the difference
It takes longer and creates far more washing up than Iād like to admit, but a proper homemade pie should look and taste homemade
Thatās the way Iāve always done them and that will never change š¤š„§
