Big news — Wildfire Ascent has just landed at the The Cross Keys Inn in Ettrickbridge.

If you're heading out that way for a wander or a quiet pint, you can now get your hands on our latest release. Ascent is our collaboration with Irish mountaineer Sarah Armstrong as she takes on the Seven Summits, with a donation from every bottle going to Evora Hospice.

Pop in, ask for it by name, and tell them we sent you.

Four releases. Four very different stories. Same Wildfire spirit.

From the bold, juniper backbone of Madge, to the fire and spice of Merchant’s Flame, the clean precision of Cromlix, and the altitude and clarity of Ascent. Each one shaped by a moment, a place, and a lot of back-and-forth getting it just right.

We’re down to the last of some batches now. The team’s been bottling and restocking this week, but once some of these are gone, they’re gone.

So… which one’s your favourite? 👀

And if you’ve had your eye on one, now’s the time to move.

People often ask what actually goes into a bottle of Wildfire.

So here it is.

Not the full recipe of course. Some secrets are earned the hard way. But these are the botanicals that shape Wildfire Ascent and give it its character.

Pine for that alpine freshness.
Citrus to lift and brighten.
Caraway bringing a gentle warmth that lingers just long enough.

Each one plays a part. On their own they’re just ingredients. Together they become the landscape the gin is built around.

If you’ve already pre-ordered a bottle, this is a little preview of what’s waiting inside.

And if you’re still deciding, there are still a few bottles of the first run available.

Wildfire Ascent was created with Irish mountaineer Sarah Armstrong ( ) as she works toward completing the Seven Summits.

📖 Before a Wildfire release ever reaches a proper distillation, it usually starts somewhere far less glamorous.

A messy kitchen table. Half a dozen glasses. Botanicals scattered around. Someone saying “that’s too soft” while someone else insists it’s finally balanced.

Jack, our resident flavour genius, is the one who actually builds the gin. The rest of us mostly turn up with opinions, ideas, and an unreasonable willingness to argue about citrus levels.

So before a full batch is ever made, we run small tester distillations. Tiny experimental runs just to see where the flavours land.

Wildfire Ascent went through a few of those.

Pine pushed forward. Citrus lifted. Caraway added, removed, then brought back again when everyone realised that warmth was exactly what the gin needed.

A lot of those tastings happen with just Jack and then ideas shared with our team and friends around the table. People we trust to be honest when something isn’t quite there yet.

Eventually the room goes quiet for a moment and someone says, “Right… that’s the one.”

That’s when Jack gives the final recipe to the distillery and the real production begins. Proper kit. Proper process. Proper distillation.

That full run of Wildfire Ascent is now underway, with bottling and labelling starting soon.

If you want a bottle from the first release, now’s the time to get your pre-order in so we can ship it the moment it’s ready. (Pre-orders now live - 🔗 link in bio)

🌲❄️🔥 There’s a point on a climb where the trees stop and the wind finds you properly.

That’s the feeling we tried to bottle with Wildfire Ascent.

Created alongside during her Seven Summits challenge, this one is about the graft - not the glory. Clean pine, bright citrus, steady juniper, and a grounding warmth that builds as it sits.

We opened the first one after a long, muddy walk last week. Boots off, telling yarns, it felt right.

🔥 Adventure 1 of 4.

Not born in copper stills.
Born on a kayak between Iceland and Greenland.

Ice from an iceberg.
One glass at dusk.
A simple ritual to bring comradery and joy at the end of a long cold day.

That moment became a gin - one meant for wild water, high ridges, thin air, and people who push a little further.

Next stop for this spirit? The mountains. Big ones.

First release is green.
More soon. 🌿
