We’re building a gin with David Hamilton, David Hamilton to anyone who’s followed his macro work.

Right now there’s genuinely nothing decided. On our Stories, and his, we’re asking a few simple things: the first word that comes to mind for a gin like this, what flavour you’d reach for, what it should look like. David’s reading everything that comes back and deciding what actually goes in the bottle.

Getting up there is only half a story like this. Somewhere on the descent - oxygen gone, hands frostbitten, in and out of consciousness - she told herself she was done. She wasn’t.

On the 20th of May 2025, Sarah Armstrong stood on the summit of Everest with a bottle of Wildfire Ascent, the first gin to reach the top of the world. 🏔️

The forecast said horizontal rain. The couch said stay inside. We went anyway.

Wildfire isn’t built for sterile tasting rooms, manicured lawns, or fair weather. It belongs after the climb, after the crossing, and after the long day outdoors. It’s for the moment you’re back from the camp, the wet gear is hanging up, and you’re finally laughing about the worst parts of the trail.

We don’t believe in liquid courage. Courage is what gets you to the ridge line in a downpour. The liquid is just what we use to celebrate when you make it back down.

Story first. Flavour second.

We’re turning this space into a running logbook of real human grit, behind-the-scenes distillery chaos, and limited-run releases inspired by people doing interesting things.
