An excellent opportunity for an experienced stud groom to take day-to-day charge of Eydon Hall Farm, a commercial thoroughbred stud in South Northamptonshire, on behalf of Voute Sales Ltd.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have strong all-round experience with thoroughbred mares, foals and yearlings — including foaling to the highest standard and sales preparation for the major sales. This position would suit an energetic, well-organised person who takes pride in turning out high-class stock for the sales ring or the racecourse.
THE ROLE
• Managing and motivating a small, close-knit team
• Maintaining accurate records — passports, vet lists, medication logs and invoicing information
• Liaising closely with our vets and farrier, coordinating routine and emergency care
• Driving a 3.5t horsebox, particularly for walk-in trips to Newmarket
The welfare of every horse on the farm — mare, foal or yearling — is paramount, and we are looking for someone whose horsemanship reflects that above all else.
