We have the apples! 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

You’ve got to try Mary Berry’s Apple Traybake! It’s a lovely treat perfect for family gatherings or a cozy Sunday afternoon. The sweet aroma will fill your home. Enjoy every bite!

Ingredients:
• 225g (1 cup) butter, room temperature (plus extra for greasing)
• 550g (4 cups) cooking apples (Bramley recommended)
• Juice of 1/2 lemon
• 225g (1 cup) light muscovado sugar
• 300g (2 1/2 cups) self-raising flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
• 4 large eggs
• 1 tbsp milk
• Icing sugar for dusting

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan 160°C). Grease and line a 30 x 23cm traybake tin with parchment paper. 2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Toss them with the lemon juice to prevent browning. 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, eggs, and milk. Beat until smooth and creamy. 4. Spoon half of the batter into the prepared tin. Layer half of the sliced apples on top, then sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon. 5. Gently spread the rest of the batter over the apples and top with the remaining slices. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. 7. Allow the traybake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once cool, dust with icing sugar.
