This sticker has been in our window since we opened 9 years ago 🇪🇺

Small businesses like ours have been hammered with red tape and added costs since we left the EU. There are often delays whilst paperwork is held up and transport costs rise as everything takes longer to go through the system. In the wine trade we can see first hand the impact Brexit has had on the economy and it’s been entirely negative.

On a personal level we still can’t see any positives from Brexit either. These are the realities of not being in the single market and we hope that one day, we will rejoin the EU but until then, we are grateful to our incredible customers who shop with us and support all the small winemakers we are proud to work with (most of whom are in the EU!) 💙

Come and meet winemaker Henry Churchill from Zig Zag Rd. Wines in our Yard shop on Friday evening between 7pm and 8pm 🍷

Based near Félines-Minervois, high in the Black Mountains of the Languedoc they grow Mediterranean varieties; Marsanne, Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Their wines are made organically and sustainably by the husband and wife team.

The tasting is free, but please do reserve a ticket on our website so we know numbers.

Glasses of wine will be available after, we will be open until 9pm!

BLANKBOTTLE SEELUG

Wow, wow, wow. Everything Pieter Walser touches turns to gold.

BLANKBOTTLE is one of our all time favourites and this Chardonnay from Helderberg overlooking False Bay is an absolute beauty. 🇿🇦

It’s a cool climate Chardonnay, delicately oaked with limey citrus fruit and a wonderful minerality that shines through. SEELUG means ‘sea air’ and the sea mist blows over the vineyard giving the wine a saline touch. Beautifully balanced with French oak.

These are some of our favourites at the moment, all great for the summer! ☀️

We have Malagousia from Greece, our all time favourite Portuguese Vinho Verde Rosé (the new vintage has just landed), a low intervention chilled red from the Adelaide Hills and a wonderful old vine Monastrell blend from which is absolutely delicious 🙌
