⛔️ Repair Closure ⛔️

Today, from mid morning, Vera the vending machine will be closed for sales.
She’s having a much needed repair to her door, meaning there will be no power to the machine.

As lovely as our repair man is, he’d much rather carry on and get her fixed and open again, so won’t be on hand to sell eggs manually.
Hopefully it will only be for a couple of hours so please avoid coming from mid morning Wednesday 13th May.

So disappointed that people can’t leave others alone to earn an honest living.
Pleased you failed in your efforts, but hugely upset by the grief your greed is now going to cause 😡

Sadly for our regular customers, there are only a few eggs left for today as we can’t reload the machine.

❗️🥚 At Smithfield Market last night, a case of imported eggs from caged hens was photographed, clearly labelled “Not to UK standards,” at the same time the government announced new welfare reforms for England and Wales

The contradiction is stark. The UK banned conventional cages in 2012, and the Government now intends to ban colony cages as well — yet conventional caged eggs are still allowed to be imported. If we are serious about animal welfare, there should be no imports permitted that do not meet the same standards UK farmers are required to produce to
