Hi everyone, Neil here. It's been a while!
Just wanted to give you all an update on what's going on with the tap. This weekend was due to be our first back open after a little break. But unfortunately, as some of you already know, last week I needed a visit to A&E, and a subsequent hospital appointment earlier this week for more tests and scans. After being poked and prodded at for many hours, I've been diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis. Before you Google it and try to jump to a funny conclusion, no I don't have an STI! 😂
This does, I'm afraid, mean at the minute I'm not able to consistently walk, or sometimes even stand, without significant pain and discomfort. I have an appointment with rheumatology next week for what should (🤞🏻) be a final consultation and to hopefully get started on treatment, but as it stands (don't laugh) I'm not sure how long it'll be before I'm fighting fit again. Hopefully it'll only be a couple more weeks, but we'll just have to wait and see unfortunately.
In the meantime, please do go and support other small indies whenever you can. It's tough at the minute and only getting tougher, and your couple of pints each really do add up and help more than you'd think.
