Update from the Swanage Community Pantry.
Since staring in April 2022 with our small dedicated team,we have managed to distribute 17 tonnes of food that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.
To date this year alone we have distributed 3.75 tonnes.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years be it collecting, distributing or coming and using the food.
We still have our regular pantries on Monday and Wednesday mornings plus pop-ups at Herston Village hall. We also take food to the local primary schools for parents to collect at home time. Bread and bananas are favourite at the moment but we do collect a wide range of foods. Please come along and see what is available. On Mondays tea and cake and company is available at the community cafe! If you would like to know more or think you can help please contact us.
