Swanage is blessed with one of the most beautiful bays in the UK. For centuries people have fished off its shores. Now Swanage is home to a host of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs with many featuring top quality fish and seafood on their menus

We want to celebrate all things ‘fishy’ with a new festival that features food, fishing and fun. There will be things for all ages to enjoy and it won’t just be about eating. There will be plenty to join in with as well as to watch.

What an incredible weekend at the 11th Swanage Fish & Food Festival!

With glorious sunshine, record crowds, fantastic entertainment and an amazing atmosphere throughout the weekend, this year’s festival has been one to remember. We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback from visitors, traders and participants alike.

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful volunteers whose hard work, enthusiasm and dedication make this event possible year after year. From setting up and stewarding to helping visitors and keeping everything running smoothly, we simply couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you also to our talented musicians who provided the perfect soundtrack to the weekend, our inspiring demo chefs who shared their skills and passion, our generous sponsors for their continued support, and our fabulous traders and artisans whose stalls showcased the very best local food, drink and crafts. Many of our food vendors sold out over the weekend – a testament to both the quality of their produce and the fantastic turnout!

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along to support the festival. Whether you visited for the food, the music, the demonstrations, the children’s activities or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, your support helps make the festival such a special event for our community.

We are incredibly proud of what was achieved this weekend and are already looking forward to welcoming you back next year!
