GDC family, we’re aware we posted some shell shocking news back in March that I’d been living with and receiving intensive treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and was undergoing a bone marrow transplant by the time I shared it publicly.
I’m now celebrating 100 days post transplant- which has been no easy feat- lots of hospital stays, lots of medications, some very close calls. Whilst recovery is a very long process, I just wanted to leave this quick (haha) update and to thank those of you that have popped in to check in with Craig and see how I’m (we’re) doing. To those that have booked our services and added a little “check in” on your emails and all those that have dropped off gifts and care packages, it’s meant the world.
The team have had such a busy few months with our HQ’s hub (on Crofty Industrial Estate) for Friday night pizza & pints getting busier each week, Ruby the pizza bus dishing the goods in Greenways of Gower (Oxwich), our pizza trailer out on the road for you all getting married or hosting an event and not to mention the graze tables, the paella, the BBQs 😋 hats off to the team they’ve been smashing it 🙌🏼
Hopefully as I start to build an immune system you’ll see me checking in as so many of you have become friends over these six years of business! Just another reminder why we’re NOT going anywhere 🫶🏼 if you’re interested in following Beki Burnside is where you’ll find me ✌🏼 Beki 😘
