🐝 Apiary expansion day! For those wondering, an apiary is simply a collection of beehives — a dedicated spot where beekeepers manage their colonies. Today we cleared ground for a brand new one, and the 54V hedge cutter made quick work of the overgrowth. Nothing like fresh, prepped land ready for new hives. The bees are going to love their new home. 🍯

This is called “clearing bees” — using a blower to move bees off the super (the honey box) before harvest. It’s one of the most common and bee-friendly methods beekeepers use, and the bees simply fly back to the hive completely unfazed!
