✨ A Bittersweet Goodbye & A Beautiful New Chapter ✨

Today, I share something I never imagined writing…
After 10 wonderful years, Mimi’s Cake Occasions has officially closed its ovens as we prepare for a brand-new chapter abroad. ✈️

What started in my little kitchen in Swindon — with fondant dreams, late-night ganache sessions, and toddlers running around my feet — grew into something far bigger than I could have hoped for. This business has been a part of my identity, my creativity, and my heart. It watched my girls grow, saw me through seasons of change, and allowed me to pour love into every swirl, sprinkle, and ribbon-tied box.

But sometimes life calls us forward…
And now, with our move overseas, it’s time for me to gently close this chapter so we can open the next one with clarity, hope, and excitement.

To every single customer — whether you ordered a birthday cake, wedding cake, charity bakes, corporate cupcakes, my most popular treat boxes, or trusted me with your most special moments — thank you.
Thank you for choosing my small business.
Thank you for supporting a mum as she builds her dreams around school runs and family life.

This birthday treat box was created for one of my lovely regular customer, a chic mix of mini buttercream cake, cupcakes, and hand-painted cookies 🖤💚

We went with deep sage and black tones, finished with gold accents and a touch of hand-painted animal print for that subtle but fierce statement.

Some cakes are more than just desserts — they’re tiny bundles of joy crafted with love. This baby cake was made for a truly beautiful soul, and though small in size, it carries all the elegance and indulgence of a grand centrepiece. 🤍

Beneath those dreamy autumn tones lies a rich chocolate sponge layered with silky ganache — the kind of flavour that makes you stop and savour every bite. 🍫✨

For the design, I drew inspiration from The Cake Occasion blending together deep berry reds, soft blush pinks, and delicate florals sprinkled with golden accents. The result? A cake that feels like autumn wrapped in sweetness — cosy, warm, and full of charm. 🍁🌸

I know it’s been a little while since I’ve popped up on your feed 🙈 — between juggling family, orders, and just everyday life, social media sometimes had to take a back seat for me.

But I’m back, and I couldn’t resist sharing this indulgent J-shaped chocolate cake 🍫✨ Sculpted with love, decorated with golden details, and finished with all the chocolatey goodness a true chocoholic could dream of.
