Our new play barn, Puddle Duck Barn, is moving along nicely! 🦆 The front elevation has now been clad, windows and doors are in and we reused some lovely stone from the old barn so it is very in keeping with other buildings here at Roves.

A special floor has been poured and features fun designs, a sneak peek of which you can see here alongside a very cool wooden tractor & trailer! More will be revealed soon! 👀

We were very pleased to welcome Stacey and her little ones from Red Kite Days Oxfordshire to Roves Farm for the very first time! It looks like you had a jam-packed day. We hope to see you again soon. 🚜🐑🐓🐷

🚜 July Roundup 🚜

What a lovely month, with lots of sunshine!!

1. Our “Discovery Play” sessions have been enjoyed by all. With our new kitchen being put to good use!
2. George the Alpaca was shorn to keep him nice and cool for the summer! It may look strange but this is the best way to shear an alpaca 🦙
3. Our second camp of the year was a blast
4. Making good use of our brand new ride-on electric quad, which will eventually move down to our new “Puddle Duck Barn”
5. Our cows due to calve in the spring had a visit from the vets to be PD tested (which is a bit like a human pregnancy ultrasound)
6. A sneak peak at the flooring in our new barn
7. Animal Racing 🏁
8. Our chicks enjoying some free-range time
9. The ducks enjoying their pond
10. Our latest goat kids 🐐

What a great month and beginning of the summer holidays! We still have plenty of activities planned for August so head to the farm to get involved ☀️
